“A woman has to be twice as good as a man to go half as far”….. FANNIE HURST

.
One of the most delicate journeys a woman will ever take is the journey of confidence.

That is the work we began at The Confidence Lab.

A room where women are challenged, stretched, refined, and empowered to show up more confidently in business, career, leadership, and life.

From activities like:
1. Confidence audit in our workbook
2. Peer to peer simulations
3. Confident posture practice
4. Headshots and more…

@tehga.a took us on a mind blowing exposure to the world of owning the online space without fear ..

@jap_shotz drilled us into confidence posture, allowing your image speak confidently even when you are not there..

Ladies, share your favorite moments….

Don’t just wing it. Practise for it.

Every day gives us an opportunity to prepare for something we hope to achieve in the future.

The meeting. The presentation. The conversation that could open a door.

It was an absolute delight sharing my thoughts on confident communication.

Remember, confidence isn’t always about knowing what to say in the moment. Sometimes, it’s about having practised enough to show up prepared.

When last did you practise what you planned to say before an important meeting?

Did you know that Matthew 5:16 is such an instructive verse?

“Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.”

To me, this is a call to show up, roll up our sleeves and do the work we have been called to do so well that people can see the fruits of our labour.

But beyond noticing us, may they see the signature of Christ in how we live, what we do and the lives we impact, and ultimately give glory to God.

When @theconfidence__lab was birthed, the vision was to help women, both young and experienced, become confident enough to show up as the women they desire to be, without holding back.

And this is what keeps me going.

On days when I stutter, and my brain whispers,

“Renny, step down from that stage,”

my heart reminds me that being on that stage is bigger than me.

It is about the woman watching who needs to know that she, too, can speak up, take up space, own her gifts and confidently become who she is called to be.

So, if you are a woman who is learning to show up more confidently, use her voice and own her space, I would love to have you in this community.

Follow @theconfidence__lab . Let’s learn, grow and become together.

It takes confidence to let your light shine.

Life lately…

Trying to be present for the people you love, show up for work, pursue growth, take care of yourself, look put together… and somehow still remember where you left your water bottle. 😂

Some days, it feels like there simply isn’t enough of you to go around.

And when you’re tired for long enough, it can start showing up in places you least expect …..Your mood, your appearance, your confidence, even the way you see yourself.

But I’m learning that being overwhelmed doesn’t mean I’m failing.

Sometimes, you need to pause.
Acknowledge that I’m tired.
Simplify.
Rest.
Remember how far you’ve come.
And most importantly, remember who you are in Christ.

Because confidence isn’t always looking like you’ve got it all together.

Sometimes, confidence is knowing how to hold yourself gently when you don’t. 🤍

If you’re trying to balance, career, business, growth and life ,this carousel is for you.

Save it for the days you need the reminder. And send it to someone who needs to hear this today. ❤️

This October, give yourself permission to pause.

Not every new month has to begin with a list of things to achieve.

Sometimes, it begins with taking stock.

What have you learned about yourself?
What has changed?
What no longer serves you?
What are you proud of?
And perhaps most importantly, who are you becoming?

At our first Confidence Lab, one of our attendees shared a powerful part of her journey with us. Her story was a reminder that confidence isn’t always about suddenly becoming a different person.

Sometimes, confidence begins with seeing yourself differently.

With becoming more self-aware.
With acknowledging how far you’ve come.
With giving yourself permission to grow, relearn, reinvent and take up space differently.

So, as we step into October, take a moment to look inward.

Review. Reassess. Reimagine. Reinvent.

You don’t have to have it all figured out.

But you owe yourself the opportunity to keep becoming.

Welcome to October. 🤍

You have 60 seconds. GO!

If someone asked you to introduce yourself right now, could you say something memorable, or would you start with, “Umm… so basically…”?

At Confidence Lab, we recommend something simple: stand before the mirror and introduce yourself. Again. And again. And again.

Because who said thinking on your feet means you shouldn’t have prepared?

Your name.
What you do.
What you’re good at.
What makes you worth remembering.

Practice until introducing yourself confidently feels natural and not accidental.

Now, let’s see what you’ve got.

Introduce yourself in ONE sentence in the comments.

And please… make us remember you.

There’s a difference between sounding intelligent and communicating intelligently.

And sometimes, our desire to impress can quietly get in the way of being understood.

Confidence is not about making people notice how much you know.

It is knowing what to say, how to say it, and when simplicity is actually the smarter choice.

So, before you bring out your biggest vocabulary in the next conversation, ask yourself:

“Am I trying to communicate, or am I trying to impress?”

Now let’s have some fun ….

What’s one word you’ve heard someone use that made you think, “Okayyyy… this person has come prepared!”?

Drop it in the comments. 👇🏽

And tag that friend who has an impressive vocabulary but sometimes makes you reach for Google.

It’s okay to opt out every once in a while.

Depending on the season of life, your headspace, or simply how you feel in that moment, you may not want to be documented and that’s okay.

But when opting out becomes a consistent habit, pause and ask yourself: Why?

Because sometimes, constantly removing yourself from the pictures, stories and documentation of your own journey can quietly reinforce the belief that you shouldn’t be seen.

And years down the line, you may realise you have very little evidence of the rooms you occupied, the work you did, the people you impacted, or the moments you helped create.

So, no pressure to document everything.

But if you consistently make yourself absent from your own story, double-check the pattern.

You deserve to have memories, testimonials and social proof that reflect the journey you actually lived.

There’s something deeply fulfilling about pouring into people at pivotal moments in their journey.

Today, our lead coach@rennnymo had the privilege of speaking with members of the GOTNI CDS group as they transition from NYSC into the world of work. We explored confidence, communication, and interview preparation, not just as skills to land a job, but as tools for building a meaningful career.

To everyone who showed up with curiosity, asked thoughtful questions, and engaged wholeheartedly, thank you. Your energy made the session worthwhile.

One thing I hope you remember is this:
Your CV may get you into the room, but your confidence, composure, and communication often determine what happens next.

Thank you, GOTNI CDS, and @theglobal_morenikeji for the opportunity to serve. 🤍

TCL2.0 is coming. Are you ready?

If you’re part of our community, tag someone you met at TCL1.0 and share one confidence win you’ve had since the masterclass. We’d love to celebrate you.

Have you ever noticed that the more you wait to feel confident, the more confidence seems to slip away?

We’re told to read more.
Take another course.
Get another certification.
Gain a little more experience.

And while all of those things matter, I’ve discovered something that changed the way I think about confidence.

At some point, confidence stops growing through what you acquire and starts growing through what you give.

The first time you mentor someone, you realize you know more than you thought.
The first time you share your story, you discover your experiences have value.
The first time you teach, serve, speak, or create, you begin collecting evidence that you are capable.

Confidence isn’t just built in private preparation.
It is strengthened in public contribution.

So if you’ve been waiting until you feel “ready,” this might be your reminder that readiness often comes after you start giving.

What knowledge, experience, or perspective have you been keeping to yourself because you don’t feel “qualified” enough?

I’d love to hear your thoughts in the comments.

1. You keep buying courses but rarely share what you’ve learned.

Knowledge becomes confidence when it leaves your notebook.

2. People ask for your advice… but you still don’t see yourself as an expert.

Sometimes others recognize your value before you do.

3. You know exactly what you’d tell someone else… but never say it publicly.

Your silence is costing your confidence.

4. You wait until you know everything before speaking up.

Confidence isn’t built after perfection.

It’s built through participation.

5. You consume every day but contribute almost never.

If your input is always increasing but your output isn’t, confidence eventually plateaus.

Your next breakthrough in confidence may not come from another lesson.

It may come from helping someone with what you already know.
