Ego will make you loud.
Presence will make people listen.
I’ve learned not to let ego block the lesson.
“Maybe” isn’t rejection ,it’s timing.

HOLLYWOOD, BABY. 🎬⛳️

Not gonna lie, I was riding the high from the Golf Creator Open @golfcreatortour for a few days after it was over. 😂

The people, the energy, the conversations, the laughs… just a phenomenal weekend all around.

But I think my favorite part was how comfortable I felt being myself.

For a while, I was trying to figure out how to fit into the golf space. How to find my place, how to connect, how to do my thing without feeling like I had to tone myself down a little.

Then I realized… why am I trying to fit into somebody else’s version of this when I can just bring my own?

I’m an actor. I like a little drama. I like to dress up, make an entrance, walk like the soundtrack just changed, and have a good time. 😂

Am I the best golfer out there? Absolutely not. We are still working on that part.

But the personality? The energy? The Hollywood, baby?

WE GOT THAT.

And the best part is, people embraced it. Everybody brought their own personality, and the whole weekend felt like a reminder that you don’t have to be the best at everything to bring something valuable to the room.

Sometimes you just have to show up, be yourself, meet good people, and let the rest happen.

That’s what I loved about this event. No forced energy. No trying to be somebody else. Just good people, good golf, and memories that had me smiling days later.

So if you hear me say “Hollywood, baby,” just know it’s more than a catchphrase at this point. 😂🎬

It’s a whole vibe.

And if you’re around me, you might accidentally end up in the movie.

Already looking forward to the next one. Until then…

HOLLYWOOD, BABY. 🎬⛳️

“So… what’s that actually like?”

Honestly, acting has taught me a lot of things I didn’t expect.

Not just memorizing lines or being in front of a camera.

A big part of it is learning how to pay attention.

To people.
To the room.
To the little things that change in a conversation.
To what someone is actually saying instead of what you assume they mean.

You start noticing things you probably would’ve missed before.

The pause before someone answers.

The way someone suddenly changes their tone.

When somebody says they’re fine… but clearly something else is going on.

That stuff matters.

And you don’t have to be an actor to practice it.

Next time you’re talking to someone, try listening without immediately deciding what you’re going to say next.

Notice their energy.

Notice what changes.

Give them a second before you jump in.

You might be surprised how much you pick up when you’re actually paying attention.

That’s probably one of the biggest things acting has given me.

It made everyday life a little more interesting.

And honestly… there’s still a lot I’m learning.

I used to think confidence meant knowing exactly how you were coming across.

How do I look?
Do I look awkward?
Am I doing too much?
What are people thinking?

And the more you think about all of that, the harder it becomes to actually enjoy whatever you’re doing.

One thing acting has taught me is that the moment you start watching yourself from the outside, you stop being fully present.

You’re no longer experiencing the room.

You’re experiencing your idea of yourself in the room.

And honestly, that shows up everywhere.

At networking events.
In meetings.
On camera.
During conversations.
Walking into a room where you don’t know anybody.
Even when you’re just having fun.

You start performing the version of yourself you think people want to see.

Sometimes owning the room isn’t about being the loudest person there or having the most confidence.

Sometimes it’s just being comfortable enough to let yourself exist without constantly editing yourself.

You might look awkward.

You might say something weird.

You might dance when nobody else is dancing.

And that’s fine.

Because you were actually there.

That’s something I’m still practicing too.

Less watching myself.

More experiencing the moment.

Anyway… I was busy having a good time. 😂

Being nervous is not really the problem.

It’s what happens when you start watching yourself be nervous.

How do I look?
Do I look confident?
Where do I put my hands?
Am I standing weird?
Are people looking at me?

And now you’re not even experiencing the moment anymore. You’re busy trying to manage how you’re being perceived.

I’ve spent a lot of time around cameras, auditions, sets, photoshoots, rooms full of people, and moments where you know you’re being watched.

And one thing acting has taught me is that you can’t always think your way into confidence.

Sometimes you just have to stop monitoring yourself.

Listen.
Look around.
Take in what’s actually happening.
Let yourself be there.

You might still be nervous.

You just won’t be so busy trying to hide it.

And honestly, that applies to way more than a red carpet.

Meetings.
Dates.
Networking.
Presentations.
Walking into a room where you don’t know anybody.

Same thing.

Maybe confidence isn’t never feeling nervous.

Maybe it’s realizing you don’t have to wait for the nerves to disappear before you show up.

Anyway… I was invited, so I figured I might as well enjoy myself. 😂

Being in front of a camera can make you way more aware of yourself than you realize.

How am I standing?
What is my face doing?
Do I look natural?
Was that awkward?
Did that picture look better?

And now you’re not even really in the moment anymore. You’re watching yourself while you’re supposed to be experiencing it.

A lot of what I’ve learned through acting has been about getting out of that headspace.

You don’t always need to try harder to look confident.

Sometimes you just have to stop checking yourself and actually be there.

The funny thing is, I think this applies way beyond cameras.

Walking into a room.
Meeting someone new.
Having a conversation.
Speaking in front of people.
Even just existing around other people.

We’re so used to wondering how we’re coming across that we forget to actually experience what’s happening.

Still learning it myself.

But there’s something different about being comfortable enough to just let yourself be seen.

Fun fact: I almost died for this reel 😅

Been practicing not worrying so much about how I’m being perceived.

Because the more you watch yourself through everybody else’s eyes, the less you actually experience what’s happening around you.

Meisner taught me a lot about getting out of my own head and actually being present.

Still working on it.

But honestly… life feels a little different when you stop performing for an audience that may not even be watching.

Anyway, back to enjoying the view.

Being an Actor

This is the reality:

1. You submit to casings everyday
2. Out of 100’s of submission maybe one asks you to Audition.
3. You Audition twice or three times a month
4. You never hear back that first round.
5. You don’t give up, you submit to 100 more castings every day.
6. You get used to rejection, you can’t take it personal.
7. You get a callback , come close and never hear back again.

This isn’t pity, this isn’t venting. It is reality and it is a thrill to chase something that you truly love. Being an Actor is not for the faint of heart and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
