New series: Stable Business.
Every two weeks, I'm rounding up horse businesses doing something worth knowing about, from feed and supplements to gear, venues, and services.

Edition 1 swipes through seven, including a feed company changing its formulas, two supplement deals that run through 2029, a $5,579 arena upgrade, and a very large ballroom.

Full details and sources are on Substack; link in bio.

Content ideas for the equestrian: we did the thinking so you don't have to

You know you should be posting. You also know you spent 40 minutes at the barn yesterday filming your horse eating hay and then posted nothing. Here are six things worth filming this month, with the thinking already done.

1. What's actually in my tack trunk

Not the aesthetic flat lay version. The real one, with the broken hoof pick, three mismatched gloves and the treat crumbs. Walk through it item by item and say what you actually use versus what you bought and regret. Honest gear content builds more trust than a polished haul, and brands pay attention to creators whose audiences believe their recommendations.

2. The fall coat reveal

Your horse is currently turning into a yak and your audience wants to see it. Film a quick side-by-side of summer sleek versus whatever is happening now, then add your clipping plan (or your firm refusal to clip). Grooming content is easy to shoot, it gets people talking in the comments, and it naturally opens the door to showing off brushes, blankets and coat products without it feeling like an ad.

3. Blanketing season, explained badly then properly

Start with the chaos: you in the rain, one strap done up wrong, horse walking away mid-buckle. Then film yourself doing it right and share how you decide what weight to use and when. It's relatable, it's useful, and every rider in a colder climate is thinking about this right now.

4. The cost of one month

Break down what your horse cost you this month with categories, not a dramatic number for shock value. Board, feed, farrier, the saddle pad you didn't need. This one sparks debate in the comments every time, and it's great for showing brands exactly who your audience is: people actively spending money on their horses.

Equestrian influencers didn't exist 10 years ago. Then riders started posting their lives. Followers grew. Brands paid attention.

What changed: social media made a wealthy, passionate audience actually measurable for the first time. Brands could see ROI instead of guessing.

The winners weren't the ones with the biggest follower count. They're the ones with a real point of view beyond their results. An identity people follow regardless of what happens at the next show.

Short-form video accelerated everything. Now it's not a trend. It's the industry. by @thecorral.co

Ride with intention. Not perfection.
Your horse doesn’t need perfect, they need fair and kind.

The equestrian market runs on trust, tradition, and word-of-mouth. Traditional advertising rarely cuts it when buyers want to see how a product actually holds up in the barn, under saddle, and through the unpredictable elements. 🐴✨
That’s why influencer marketing in the horse world is so powerful—it bridges the gap between brands and the tight-knit communities that use these products every single day.
Are you collaborating with riders yet? Let’s talk strategy in the comments! 👇
