I’m the e-comm and digital guy🤓, BUT, sometimes I get to jump in and be part of amazing moments with our customers! 🏃‍➡️

Last weekend I got to hydrate and fuel some amazing athletes while they attempted to qualify for the Boston Marathon with some of our best AN Supps and Applied Nutrition products at The County Marathon in Prince Edward County!

It’s not all KPI’s - sometimes it’s about being there for the moments they work so hard for 💪

Congratulations to those that qualified and those breaking their own PRs every day! 🏆

I had a bunch of POV shots from my Oakley Vanguard glasses that I wasn't sure what to do with so I made a little montage of the journey to the finish line!

Most of the shots are of the aid stations so after a while it gets a little repetitive. I may have recorded more of myself just running around but for the majority of the run me and Blair were just chatting away! I didn't really think of recording stuff until I hit the aid stations or when I saw other runners that we were passing on the second half of the run.

I did learn that I would have to start the activity on the watch prior to starting the video recording on the glasses to get the Garmin stats overlay option. I was able to pull the overlay up on all the recordings except for the starting line because I had started the video before the watch. I would have been interested to see how high the heart rate was when I was just standing idle in the coral with all the pre race nerves! 😂 taken in Picton, Ontario by @thecountymarathon

Super proud of my nephew @nick_vern completing his first half marathon at @thecountymarathon . Pushing through the discomfort, he stayed on goal pace. Cold start, strong finish. Congrats. It was an honour and hell of a memory to run it with you.

Whether you’re chasing a PB or soaking up the scenery, we’re honored to share the road with you.

Tips from The Race Committee for a Smooth Race Day:

* How many pee breaks can you take before your race? Take them all
* Smile for the cameras - make it look easy
* Thank a volunteer - they gave up their day for you
* Double knot your laces - then tuck them in
* Don’t drink too much right before - there’s water all along the way
* Don’t start too fast - every minute gained early costs three later
* Use all hydration stations, especially in the first half - you can’t catch up once dehydrated
* Find your pace bunny and don’t let them out of your sight
* Run your own race
* Your only competition is who you were yesterday
