Tomorrow my talented Home Ed student starts at sixth form, she made this fantastic piece with letter stamps on a monoprint we did last month.
In today's session she also finished a split pin mermaid and a tote bag.
Our sessions don't fit a pre decided schedule, we improvise, imagine and doodle and the magic appears!
Art should meet us where we're at, and take us where we're going!

If you're looking for a creative adventure this month join me and @bethcallaway @chaterssaffronwalden for Pastels and Poetry, a relaxing bilateral drawing and spoken word workshop ( no artístic experience needed!), the link is in my highlight 🙂
Wishing everyone starting a new term, school or September a wonderful month x

Monoprinting Morning with 2 home Ed students this morning. Fun, fast, messy and joyous!
We use reams of lining paper for it's great absorbancy and old double glazing units as a printing surface.
We explored Mark making, over printing, masking and dripping. Both students left smiling, with 8 pieces of original art each to frame, and further experiment with.
If you're looking for space and guidance for a Home Ed student or yourself, I offer one to one art sessions in a wide range of creative mediums, DM me for more information 🙂

17th September 6.30pm 🍷 ✏️ 📖 🫒
Hosted by Bethany and Jessica, this relaxing session @chaterssaffronwalden combines live poetry reading with bilateral drawing a calming meditative art practice which you create using both hands while listening to the spoken word. No artístic experience is needed; this guided workshop is about being in the moment, letting your hands move, your mind wander, and seeing what emerges!
Our spoken pieces will be chosen to encourage reflection, imagination and presence.

🍑 Your Pastels and Poetry ticket includes a signature P&P (peach & gin) spritz (with a non alcoholic version available),
Delicious table nibbles including olives, crisps and pecorino.

Come as you, bring your curiosity and leave with a little more colour than you arrived with.
