We traveled down the Oregon coast last week, but first stopped at Silver Falls State Park. 🍁

We hiked a trail where we could see 10 waterfalls and the fall foliage. 🥾

I visited Monument Valley in 2021 and it is forever etched in my brain. 🏜️

Monument Valley is on Navajo Nation Tribal Land. There is a small fee of $8 to drive the scenic loop and it is so worth it. When we drove the loop years ago, there were also a few stands throughout where locals sold their art. They also have a shop where you can purchase from the locals as well. 🧡

This weekend was everything and more!! 🌞

On Friday evening, we paddle boarded and camped a few minutes from the lake. 🛶

On Saturday, we hiked to the most stunning alpine lake I have ever seen. Tears were shed 😭 After our 12 mile hike, we paddle boarded on the lake again and took a dip or two, went out to eat, and drank huckleberry shakes on our scenic drive following the Salmon River before heading back to camp for the night. ⛰️

the wreck of peter iredale 🛳️

in 1906, captain lawrence’s ship ran into the shore due to the high winds. his final toast to his ship was “may god bless you, and may your bones bleach in the sands.”

to see this shipwreck in person was unreal!

we had to stop at ecola state park to view the ocean 🌊

if you look closely, you can see cannon beach 🪨

indian beach was right near ecola state park, it’s amazing how clear the sky was here vs at ecola state park where the fog was taking over. this was a hotspot for surfers 🏄🏼‍♀️

we took quite a few walks on the beaches of oregon such as arcadia beach. 🏖️

the oregon coast and it’s rocks, I love it.

everytime I saw sunlight shining through the trees, I was in literal awe. it was one of my favorite sights!🌲

the mushrooms in oregon were plentiful! we saw so many different types of mushies on this trip. 🍄‍🟫 taken in Oregon Coast by @thediaryofber

22 miles total in a single day, windburn, laughs, smiles, and a whole lot of wow’s 🥾⛰️

Due to road construction in the canyon, it added 7 miles to our hike to the trailhead. I was very nervous the night before because I was already feeling under the weather but I am a little stubborn, so I really wanted to see how far we could get on this 25 mile route. We started hiking at 6:45am and arrived at the trailhead around 9am. To have a popular canyon to yourself in the midst of fall was incredible 🥹

We hiked to Liberty Lake in the Ruby Mountains Wilderness which totaled our hike to 11 miles where we decided to turn around to preserve our energy. There were still 2 out of the 5 lakes that we weren’t able to hike up to since we turned around, but we knew our limits and that it was the correct call to make on our end.

We ended our hike after 9 hours and 22 miles total and celebrated with burgers and fries at this incredibly small town bar and grill in Nevada.

The next day, we could barely walk but all in all, it was so worth it. Time and time again, I am amazed at what my body can handle and at these beautiful places that we can explore! Nevada, what an incredible gem you have. 💎 taken in Nevada, USA by @thediaryofber
