Gaslighting can be challenging to overcome, especially if you’re someone like me (enneagram 6). For the most part, I am very silly and goofy on the outside, but I struggle internally with appeasement at times (the part you don’t see on social media). I easily over analyze and try to understand people and situations that end up sending me in an unhealthy silent spiral. On top of feeling the need to over apologize to create a safe and comfortable space. When my heartfelt apologies were rejected or met with hostility, it used to be a HUGE blow to me mentally.

Over the years, I’ve worked hard to better myself, my thought process, and surround myself with positive/supportive people (which is why I keep my circle small). I still fall short, but I’m 100x better than I was in my early 20s. I take 24-48 hours to feel the hurt, then I let it go (easier said than done).

Redirect your energy to the people, places, and things you love and that love you back. You never know what other people are going through, so forgive them, wish them well, and move on. Life is challenging enough, so make sure you take the time and conscious effort to protect your peace. 💕✌🏾✨

I hope this helps at least one person. 😊

Shedding real tears over here @ayyechefcooley 😭🤣 let me go enlist @goodgood_en3rgy for help. I’m gonna get somebodies advanced moves one day.

Might delete this later in case I’m held accountable for learning this at some point. 🤣

This year’s birthday gift to myself: slowing down. No itinerary 🙃 just a quiet, intentional few days at @1hotel.southbeach to rest, reflect, and celebrate another year of life.

We loved it so much we’ve already decided this is our only Miami hotel from now on. They surprised us with a room upgrade, and our front desk hostess Tanisha made the whole stay with her handwritten note, surprise dessert to the room, and genuine care. She mentioned her upcoming wedding and a trip to Chicago, so we left her something at the front desk on our way out. I hope she got it…🤔💭📨

Thank you to my hubby for planning the perfect trip to celebrate my birthday. 🥳🤍🌴 If you’re planning a reset or just looking for where to stay in Miami to RELAX choose @1hotels.

Bear Down for real during (and after 😋🍗💤) the Bears vs. Vikings game. Why did it have to be Caleb Williams?! 😭 That was a NASTY looking injury, Chile!

Guess we all have to stay tuned to see what happens next…👀🧡💙
