We love every season at The Dreys… but autumn well it’s always a bit WOW.

There’s something about the way the woods change colour, the leaves turn shades of gold and amber, and the whole place taking on a completely different feel. It makes The Dreys feel that little bit more magical.

THE BITS THAT WEREN’T ON THE MOOD BOARD…

The ridiculous amount of laughter.

The happiness that seems to take over the whole place.

The fiercely competitive game of crazy golf… and the very questionable levels of cheating.

The speech that had everyone crying and then laughing until they couldn’t breathe.

Three generations sitting around the same table.

Old wedding photographs, new memories and stories being told all over again.

Flowers everywhere, because sometimes more really is more.

The little moments you couldn’t have planned, even if you tried.

Because when you look back at your wedding, it’s not always the things you spent months choosing that you remember most.

It’s how it felt.

The people.
The laughter.
The stories.
The love.

And all the bits that were never on the mood board.

That’s the good stuff.

And that’s what we love about weddings at The Dreys. 🤍

We think of it as a place we love to share. 🤍

A place to get legally married or have a blessing deep in the woods, completely private and surrounded by nature.

A place to celebrate with your favourite people, dance under the stars, smile until your cheeks hurt and make memories that feel completely yours.

It’s a little bit wild. A little bit magical and totally off grid.

Billy & Sarah 🎊🥳

These two promised a wedding filled with “music, games and no doubt some messy behaviour.” There was all this! Sarah was one of the most positive, kind and thankful Brides I’ve met. She took time to introduce me to people during prep and when the waitress served her the main course during the wedding breakfast she took her by the hand and went out of her way to express her gratitude. Billy was a gent, he’d organised lots of the wedding too.

They’d planned an outdoor woodland ceremony, we expected it after the Summer we’ve had but sadly the weather didn’t play ball. These two champs took it on the chin and when you’ve got 140 people who are so excited to see a couple they love very much become Husband and Wife we could have had the ceremony in an underground bunker- there’d have still been so much energy and laughter. The music was great all day as was the dance floor (I loved that Sarah walked into “Yellow” by Coldplay)

Thanks to Rachel who came to her final wedding with me this year. Teaching her this year has been a joy- she has become such a brilliant photographer. Good to work with the Wedding Dolls- they dealt so well with the weather and making sure everything went ok. Also shout out to wedding guests Ollie and Oli- we had a good discussion about the spelling of “Olly” but unlike lots of heated debate topics in our modern age we listened to each other’s opinions and disagreed well and went home without fighting (too much…) Billy and Sarah- huge congrats and enjoy an epic honeymoon!

An enchanting woodland wedding at @thedreys 🌿✨

Chloe had always dreamed of a little bit of magic, and her vision for the day was nothing short of incredible.

Watching everything she had imagined come to life, surrounded by the woodland and all those beautiful little details, was truly something special.

ELLIE & JACOB// Kicking off my August at the incredible @thedreys, one of my absolute fave venues down in Kent. This stunner of a day was full of colour, fun and joy from start to finish. E&K wanted Indian summer meets Bilbo Baggins birthday party- a festival in the forest with oodles of colour, glitter and disco balls and wow did they achieve it! STUNNING.
