and now, the next album chapter has entered the chat 🃏

meet “Wreckless!” barely breathin’s stark, angry little sista.

though this piece of work presents itself as hilarious and an obvious parody of my experience, the period I wrote this about was actually extremely dark, frightening, and unhinged. in college, a professor told me that sometimes it’s easier to write hot topics cold, so I gave it a try and loved the result.

thank you to my mentor, Mike Flannery, for guiding me through this one both vocally and emotionally.

“Wreckless!” is out now on all streaming platforms! I wanted to share some of the real inspiration I gathered for this tune in 2021 because it’s raw. Zakk Wylde was indeed a big inspo for my take on a punk rock sound. I LOVE YOU ZAKK⚡️you’ve forever changed my approach to songwriting.

and yes, I’ve quit any and all nicotine for good and I obviously love my life a lot more!!!! 🫶

Van Romaine plays drums for Steve Morse Band, Enrique Iglesias and many others.

A while back he reached out about a drum caddy. We went back and forth on what a touring musician actually needs from something like this — his input shaped the build.

This week he sent me two messages.
First: "Over 100k in Monterrey, MX last night with your caddy in tow. Its first show for me. Loving this thing."

Then: "Amazing to have all my crucial show items out of the way but also exactly where I can grab them when needed."

A small shop in Lindsborg, Kansas. A world tour. That's what happens when you just talk to people and make things together.

April 17, 2026: Barely Breathin’ is finally here. I wrote this song in May of 2021 on my bedroom floor at 4 am. While this is definitely a breakup song, it’s also an anxiety song, a story of navigating the uncertainty of the future. At the time of writing this, I was so anxious that I would only sleep every other night. little did I know, the struggle was the start of an entire ALBUM! this is chapter 1 in my story. I hope you love it.
