A great day and evening yesterday across New York — from Frieze and NADA to the 2026 @taaforg Awards Dinner, celebrating AAPI Heritage Month and TAAF’s fifth anniversary.A special congratulations to our friend Sheila Lirio Marcelo on her incredibly well-deserved honor. Sheila made history as the first Asian American woman founder and CEO to take a U.S. company public through Care.com, and now continues building the future through @ohaidotai . We treasure our friendship with Sheila and Ron and could not be happier to celebrate this recognition with them last night.Congratulations as well to all of this year’s honorees — Ke Huy Quan, Neal Mohan, and Jeremy Lin.One of the most remarkable things about The Asian American Foundation (TAAF): the Board proudly covers all overhead, so 100% of every donation goes directly toward programs and causes supporting the AAPI community. That kind of institutional integrity is rare and worth recognizing.As the father of two Asian children, evenings like this carry a deeper meaning. Seeing Asian American leadership, achievement, and philanthropy celebrated at this level — across business, culture, sports, technology, and the arts — feels profoundly important, both for this generation and the next.Susan was very sad to miss the Gala, but she is in Las Vegas working around the clock on the launch of OMNIA Nightclub Dayclub today. Happy Mother’s Day to the most incredible mother to Olive, Oscar, and Ray — and somehow also the hardest working person I know.Watching Susan balance motherhood and an extraordinarily demanding professional life with so much love, intelligence, patience, and grace is honestly astonishing. Our kids absolutely adore her, and our home revolves around the energy, care, and stability she creates every single day. Ray is pretty obsessed with her too.Olive and Oscar, you are so lucky to have her as your mom.Today is also especially meaningful to me because it would have been my late mother Janet Benshoof’s birthday as well, so I’m holding her especially close today too.Happy Mother’s Day, Susan ❤️ by @theeliklein
