So beautiful to dance with you in this wild labour of love @sarahbelzile_guide this weekend. The trust I have in you and your capacity to care deeply, softens my defences to fully tap into my own immense capacity for care from a place of resource not survival. Also grateful for the wisdom of this little one, I’ve learned so much from you on how to care deeply for others, and for being an unapologetic sensitive kid that feels a lot. Of the earth, humus = human, traveling to my ancestral home this year, was an embodied reminder that I belong on this earth. My bones settled in a way they never do on Turtle Island where I was born. I used to blame my “Queerness” for feeling like a stranger in a strange land, however time on this land, swimming in this water and attuning to the stories of this landscape, my body knows better. The trauma of displacement, the intentional amnesia of white body supremacy, the violence of a “melting pot” all are at play. The work of remembering, keeps me feeling connected, invites me to walk humbly as a treaty partner of this land, and educates me on the violent impacts of colonialism and my role in perpetuating that violence. #theembodiedexplorer #sacredintimacy #landback #decolonize by @theembodiedexplorer

The moment my visibility became about self love and acceptance rather than desirability, I was free. I’m not going to lie I’m caught up in the capitalist and white supremest ideas of aging and losing desirability, that’s when I shed my clothes and let the sun remind me who I really am. In my last days of 57 I’m celebrating that 20 somethin queer, who in the midst of the AIDS crisis, didn’t think they would live beyond 30. We started in early April hoping through planting seeds, actually garlic was planted September 2025. This daily relationship of care and reciprocity. Yesterday the alchemy of tomatoes, garlic and basil to create summer in a jar. Opening one of these in the dark days of January will take me back to summer 2026. Grateful to the pollinators and the insects relations, water wind and sunshine. Planting seeds is an act of rebellion, being in relationship with the land, water and sky an act of resistance. To share our harvest with each other an act of revolution. What I have learned about myself in relationship to the land, the capacity I’ve garnered making plans and surrendering to possibilities. Accepting the TRUTH that I am NOT self sufficient but interdependent with the land, the elements other humans and species… gardening, growing food , tending to plant beings is the best continuing education I have ever experienced. Sun on my skin, dirt under my fingernails and the satisfying ache in my body after tending to the land💖💗💖. What an excellent time we had at @terrarosa.spain

With much gratitude in my heart I'm celebrating an incredible second edition of The Rite of Surrender!

This weeklong was created for and by queer+ men, or anyone who periodically identifies as such. A true gem of a group, which showed so much sensitivity, attunement, gentle strength, and depth of being.

@simonmagnus_ and I had the privilege to guide these beautiful men and gender fluid/non-conforming beings through a week of group exploration, where they in turn supported each other to get the download on the powerful impact k ink and ritual can have on a person.

As a small temporary community, we embraced the greatness and the vulnerability of one another, and created what I like to call a 'social technology' for collective empowerment and expression through ritualized scene work.

Such a blessing to be able to do this work, and to be held so sweetly in it by the Terra Rosa crew and community.

And a deep bow of appreciation to my epic friend and co-creator @simonmagnus_ who made all of this possible. I adore your honesty, kind spirit and inspiration as a leader & change-maker in this world <3

I also thoroughly enjoyed exploring the area and luxuriating in its beautiful nudist-friendly beaches. To accept and celebrate my queerness I had to look outside my blood relations, this is necessary for many queer folk, and also traumatic. I was raised to put family first at all costs, that blood and faith were the only priorities that mattered. I have a deep memory as a kid of large family gatherings, our home often the gathering place. I’ve made of my adult life a search to recreate a queer version of this, while nursing this loss of the majority of my blood relations, all but a few. Returning to Malta again has awakened the tenderness of that familial wound and been an opportunity to reconnect with my uncle, who welcomed me the first time I came here at 9 months and again at 57. Yes, the words of Hector Xtravaganza still ring true and choosing the folks from my blood, brings me closer to feeling whole. Deep gratitude to @judaazzopardi for the hospitality and the time to get to know each other more than we have before. 🙏🏼💖to the land, the sea and my blood. This salt
in the salt cellar
I once saw in the salt mines.
I know
you won’t
believe me
but
it sings
salt sings, the skin
of the salt mines
sings
with a mouth smothered
by the earth.
I shivered in those
solitudes
when I heard
the voice
of
the salt
in the desert.
Near Antofagasta
the nitrous
pampa
resounds:
a
broken
v oice,
a mournful
song.

In its caves
the salt moans, mountain
of buried light,
translucent cathedral,
crystal of the sea, oblivion
of the waves.
And then on every table
in the world,
salt,
we see your piquant
powder
sprinkling
vital light
upon
our food.
Preserver
of the ancient
holds of ships,
discoverer
on
the high seas,
earliest
sailor
of the unknown, shifting
byways of the foam.
Dust of the sea, in you
the tongue receives a kiss
from ocean night:
taste imparts to every seasoned
dish your ocean essence;
the smallest,
miniature
wave from the saltcellar
reveals to us

Water continues to be an incredible teacher, in all her forms and most of all her ways of shapeshifting and her power to transform over long periods of time.The language of my ancestors has no tense for folks like me, you’re either a she or he, that binary used to crush me, and in this moment washes off me like a gentle wave. To speak my truth and especially to CHOOSE when and to who is truly the path to LIBERATION.
