So… what’s your plug?

We asked the question.

And what happened next was better than we planned!

We talked. We laughed. We celebrated one another. We had honest conversations about hormonal changes, movement, muscle health and taking better care of our bodies.

We learned how to better navigate the healthcare system, where to find support, how to advocate for respectful care, and the resources available through Black Health at LHSC.

We connected with the Black Health Navigator and discovered that sometimes finding your plug simply means knowing who to call and where to go.

But we didn’t stop there.

Somewhere between the conversations, connections and laughter, we started a pepper production collective.

Yes. A pepper production collective.

Because apparently, when Black people get together with good ideas and good energy, you never quite know what might be born!

Should getting married change your friendships? 🤔

I don’t think marriage means you have to stop being friends with your single friends. Your priorities may change, your time may look different, and boundaries may become more important but genuine friendships can still grow and evolve.

At the end of the day, it’s about respecting your marriage while also maintaining healthy friendships. ❤️

This birthday party was everything I wanted it to be! And to think that the devil almost ruined it!! ( stay tuned for the full story of this)

First of all, l'm a big birthday person. I always celebrate my birthday and I only have one thing in mind: One night of pure unduliluted adult fun! It's just one night where we get to let our hair down, and have fun without our kids.

My birthday parties are not solely about me they are for fun and connecting with the people I love. I just love bringing all my friends from different areas of my life under one roof! I'm such a fun loving person. Asin fun to the maxxx. And so are a great number of my friends and once you put us all together, then you have chaotic fun.

One of my Gen Z friends said she had never been to a sober party that was fun! That really tickled me because neither myself nor my husband drink alcohol yet we know how to have a good time!

As I said last year, we do this again next year! God willing!
