Plot twist: this is what your life could look like living less than an hour from Disney…

People think moving to Central Florida is a life full of theme parks and nothing else, but there are areas like Apopka that will surprise you.

Apopka is home to some of the most gorgeous springs in Florida! This one is called King’s Landing (noooo, not the Westeros one…I wish!!)

If moving closer to Disney is on your bucket list, but you want something that feels a bit more removed from the tourist district, you need to add Apopka to your list!

I knew this backyard in Kissimmee, Florida was good…but I didn’t expect it to be THIS good! 😍

Every Central Florida newcomer eventually gets corrected on at least one of these.

There are certain words, pronunciations, nicknames, and local phrases that make perfect sense once you’ve lived here long enough.

Until then, you’re basically one wrong pronunciation away from immediately giving yourself away.

I’ll scream it from the rooftops every year!! Universal is a million times better than Disney for the holiday season & I’ll tell you why:

Everything is included with your daytime admission!

✨ Universal’s Holiday Parade featuring Macy’s
🎄 The Magic of Christmas at Hogwarts Castle Show
❄️ The Grinchmas Who-liday Spectacular Show
🎅🏻 Plus special holiday characters, beautiful decor and more!

To get the same vibes at Disney, you have to pay hundreds more to experience their separately ticketed holiday events. I love Disney at Christmas, too - don’t get me wrong. But you truly cannot beat Universal! taken in Universal Studios Florida by @theenchantedagent

I’m probably not the person to follow if trying not to move closer to Walt Disney World! 😅

The more I show you how I do Disney in Doses, and how much more there is to do outside of the theme parks, the harder it is to keep pretending you’re “just browsing.”

That’s how it starts…then suddenly you’ve saved three neighborhoods, sent a listing to your group chat and started checking flights.

Sometimes you just gotta go to Magic Kingdom for the morning after a rough week. There were so many new things to try!

First up was the new bacon egg and cheese spring rolls from the infamous spring roll cart. They were SO good. The perfect grab and go breakfast at the park.

The Diamond Horseshoe in Frontierland also just opened & we were able to get on the standby list and brought in almost immediately! Although the interior left much to be desired, the food and drinks were great! It’s a really nice addition to Magic Kingdom, so I hope it stays a while.

Finally, we jumped on some rides and we were outta there!

At this point, you’d have to pry me out of Winter Garden.
Five reasons I’m not going anywhere:

1) I can go to Disney whenever I want, because I am less than 20 minutes away.

2) There is always something to do here, even outside of the theme parks.

3) Downtown Winter Garden literally feels like walking through a Hallmark movie (especially during the holidays).

4) You can still be to the beaches in a little over an hour.

5) I can see the Magic Kingdom fireworks every night from my neighborhood.

And honestly, I could keep going. What would make your top five?

I know, I know!! IT’S NOT EVEN HALLOWEEN YET! Can you believe we’ll be in the snoap in just 39 days?!

Jollywood Nights (Hollywood Studios) kicks off on November 7th & Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party (Magic Kingdom) on November 8th.
