Sunday Shelfie Arizona edition! Here we are in front of Jen’s bookshelves!

I had the best weekend visiting Jen & my brother. Tubing the Salt River, brunch with friends, a casino visit & a good slot jackpot and of course a trip to the bookstore! It was just the reset I needed for the busy weeks ahead. Hope you had a great holiday weekend too!

💙 Wow... Just WOW! Friends I can confidently say I just read my favorite book of 2026. HOLLOW BONES by Jodi Picoult took me on an unexpected and heartbreaking journey. I knew very little about this one besides having something to do with 9/11 when I pre-ordered. But it has so much more, though I can't share without any spoilers. I've seen many reviews with this emoji 🤯🤯🤯 and can definitely agree there are many mind blowing twists and turns. I did a combo audio & physical book because I couldn't turn this book off. If Jodi Picoult writes it, I will definitely have it sitting on my favorites shelf.

❓Do you have a early favorite book of 2026??

Wow just wow! I finished this book in under 24 hours. Truly once I started it I couldn't stop... That meant staying up late and when I woke up at 430am I picked up my kindle again. JADED by Ela Lee is a fitting read right now and is a debut! Phenomenal. I was furious, sad and truly outraged. Thanks to whoever but this book on my radar, I do get most of my book recs from my book friends!

Quick description -A young lawyer wakes up in the morning after a work gala with no memory of how she got home the previous night and must figure out what exactly happened—and how much she’s willing to put up with to make her way to the top of the corporate ladder.... Swipe for full description.

❓What was the last book that left you outraged?

First Book of October done! ACROSS THE VANISHING SKY by Catherine Cowles. I ♥️ Romantic Suspense books and this book did not disappoint! Braedyn and her son move to a small town where her best friend Nova disappeared on a hike the year before... She is searching for answers and runs into and gets help from Dex and his brothers.. ohhh Dex... The grumpy hot protective hacker ❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥Just wait...

I've read a few other of her books and truly love when past characters show up. This book was a solid 5 stars and would recommend if you also like romantic suspense!
Short & Sweet book rec because that's all I have time for... And I'm downloading or maybe planning a trip to the bookstore for book 2 in the series right now.

Also... Swipe to see the Goodreads cover... I like that one soooo much better than the original but really don't have time for edits 🤣

❓What was your last 5 star book??

Happy Sunday Shelfie - Fall edition 🍂🎃📚 I'm full on embracing all things fall.. pumpkins, cooler temps, more reading time, pumpkin foam americanos & football.

I can't wait until I'm up & walking in a few weeks and able to explore pumpkin patches, fall markets & nature walks.

❓What's your favorite fall activity??

What an absolutely long week! 😵🤒My daughter & I were each sick on 2 different days but we're both finally on the mend! Sooo I was extremely happy to get the Barnes & Nobles email that my preorder was delivered just as it was quitting time today. Horrrrray! HOLLOW BONES by Jodi Picoult, I didn't even look at the book description when I made my preorder... She's just one of my few auto buy authors. But after taking a quick peak at the description & seeing all the 5 star reviews this week I know it's going to be so good. I think I'll be starting this one soon!

❓So was it me, or did this week feel super long and neverending??

I am a SUCKER for gorgeously sprayed edges and a beautiful cover. These two are two contenders for the prettiest books I own. I’ll have to share more of the beauties I have. What are some of the gorgeous books you have? I might need to add to my collection. 😉 💕Jen

Football Sundays are BACK! Sundays are for church, family, a little cleaning & FOOTBALL...and reading of course.
I asked my daughter to find me something SEAHAWKS and this little cup was what she brought me... Clearly we need more team merch. 🤣💙💚 And it's so weird that we already played on Wednesday and got the W! Go Hawks. Also we do a few fantasy football leagues and that makes watching more fun.

So the Seahawks are the NFL team we root for..❓Who do you root for if you watch or are forced to watch football?!

Had a doctor’s appointment today in Scottsdale, so of course I had to go to my favorite bookstore out there, The Poisoned Pen. To say I found some goodies is an understatement. 😊 After the year I’ve been having, my motto is “treat yourself” especially when it comes to books. I’m so excited about this stack! 💕Jen taken in The Poisoned Pen Bookstore by @theendlessstack

Happy Sunday! Today's another chill day, started with church online... Now it is time for Coffee & a book! These guys from the Lucky River Ranch Series by Jessica Peterson were all calling my name and DUKE was next...🤠 So saddle up, that's my plan for today. (Plus... Continue my Slow Horses binge in the background... Such a good show... Have you watched??)

❓Do you own cowboy boots??
I do own a pair, and looking for another pair soon... once my foot heels.

Books are taking over my hobbies and maybe my life. 🤣Before my surgery my surgery & I found some bookish things to keep me busy. A cute puzzle for this beginner, a diamond painting bedazzle kit, & some new coloring books... Does anyone remember Lisa Frank?? ➡️ For closeups

We lost power about an hour ago, so because Lainey put away her half done puzzle, I'll start my puzzle now, with an audiobook playing of course! Might need candles & flash lights soon if it does not come back on soon.

❓Do you like my of these activities? Or have a favorite craft or hobby besides reading?
