THE WORK IS SHOWING 💯

This offseason, Israel Velasquez has grown tremendously as a wrestler, as a student, a leader, and a young man.

🤼‍♂️ Bay Area Wrestling Association Duals Team
🏆 Northwest Regionals in Washington
🔥 California Freestyle & Greco State in Fresno
💪 Super 32 Qualifier in Gilroy
🥊 And many other tournaments!

Wrestled tough against some of the best.

But the biggest growth has been beyond the mat. Israel is becoming more disciplined, confident, responsible, and willing to lead.

Proud of the wrestler he’s becoming. Even more proud of the young man he’s becoming.

Keep working. Keep learning. Keep leading. The best is still ahead. 💪🦁

Congratulations to Daisy Infante on an outstanding Greco performance representing Team California at the Women’s National Duals in Westfield, Indiana!

While the freestyle portion of the tournament didn’t go the way she had hoped, Daisy showed tremendous resilience, regrouping and finishing the Greco-Roman competition with a perfect 8-0 record.

Her undefeated performance earned her a spot on the Women’s Greco-Roman All-Tournament Team, an honor awarded to athletes who remained undefeated in their dual meet matches with a minimum of four victories. Out of 117 athletes recognized across the country, Daisy was one of just 43 honorees in the Junior division.

One of the most valuable lessons in wrestling is learning how to respond when things don’t go your way. Daisy demonstrated that lesson perfectly, bouncing back from disappointment and turning it into one of the best performances of the tournament.

We are incredibly proud of Daisy for the way she represented Team California, her coaches, teammates, and community. Her toughness, perseverance, and willingness to keep competing at a high level continue to set her apart.

Congratulations, Daisy, on an incredible achievement. The future is bright!

💪🦁🌼

Today was such an incredible experience, and I feel incredibly thankful to be part of it. Training in the same room with an Olympic champion was truly inspiring. The one and only Amit Elor showed me what hard work, confidence, and dedication really look like. Being here and training with the amazing people around me every day has been such a blessing, and I appreciate all the support from my family, friends and the wrestling community. Wrestling has taught me to work hard, never give up, and always push myself to accomplish more than I thought I could. Thank you for another unforgettable day of learning and growing. 💖🌼⭐️✨ by @theerongee

HISTORY MADE. 🥇

Daisy is the 2026 115 lb. C.C.S. Masters Champion. The first wrestler in SF Section history to ever do it.

This wasn’t a perfect, easy run. It’s been seasons of obstacles, adjustments, and showing up anyway. She kept putting the work in when it wasn’t visible, stayed steady when things got hard, and this weekend it all showed.

To see her finish on top knowing everything behind the scenes makes this one hit different.

2026 115 lb. C.C.S. Masters Champion. First ever from San Francisco.

From battling through adversity to standing at the top of the podium, she didn’t just win, she changed what’s possible for everyone coming after her.

This moment is bigger than a title. It’s legacy. It’s standard-setting. It’s proof that hard work, resilience, and belief pay off.

Next stop: C.I.F. State Wrestling Championship in Bakersfield. And we’re not done yet. 💪🦁🔥

C.C.S. Northern Regional Champion 🥇

Daisy went out to the CCS Northern Regionals Championship and left no doubt; 1st place. Dominant, focused, and battle-tested.

Next stop: CCS Masters Tournament. One step closer to the CIF State Wrestling Championship in Bakersfield.

We are beyond proud of the resilience, maturity, and grit she continues to show. The job’s not finished, but this was earned. 💪🦁🔥

That’s what steady improvement looks like. That’s what belief looks like.

Daisy is buying into the work, she’s trusting the process, and it’s paying off. Preparation meets opportunity. Stay hungry, stay humble, and keep moving forward.
