A wise woman once said, “There’s no place like home.”

Our cool update? “There’s no place like @inspiredbyyoufest.”

This incredible festival is where Naturely Cool began in 2023. Every year, we get so excited to bring nature crafts to kids of all ages and meet so many amazing people from Chicago and beyond. This year is no exception!

The Fest is back at Douglass Park on Sunday, June 22nd. We’ll be there and we can’t wait to see you 💚🌱

💖 2024 💖 All you need to know is that I fought for every inch this year. And, God took me farther (faster) than I could’ve imagined.

I’m so proud of this little gal from 35th Street who is building this beautiful life brick by brick.

💖🙏🏽 3 Things I Have During My Morning Quiet Time with God

1. The Bible: Self-explanatory

2. Study aides: I need help breaking down scriptures and what they mean. So, I am working through “Unshakeable” by @christinecaine and pair that with “The Best Season Planner” which is a combo planner/faith journal.

3. A beverage: I’m developing the discipline to have this time before my day gets started… Sometimes before 6a. So, I’ll either have water, pre-workout, or coffee by my side.

Carving out this time has done wonders for my mental and spiritual health. I’m not perfect every day but I am definitely more consistent. And, I am so grateful for that.

I smell good, y’all.

When @allwritewithbri said she was personalizing purchases at @officialbyredo, I took it as my sign to pull the plug on one of these lux fragrances.

After testing MANY scents, I walked out with “Slow Dance” as my main and so so many gifts/travel-sized ones. Ugh, they ALL smell SO good.

Any Byredo fans out there? Tell me what scent I should buy next 💖 taken in Oakbrook Center by @thefabgiver

Two of my creative energy sources? City environments and greenery.

Mexico City gave me both in a really beautiful way. I was OBSESSED with how the lush plants just intertwined in these concrete and metal spaces. Ugh, so good.

Stop hoping that your children are empathetic and kind.

Wishful thinking is never going to be enough. We have to show them what it looks like to serve others, speak kindly and to share.

Children are sponges and they absorb what they are exposed to. I grew up watching people in my family support their community in tangible and visible ways. And, I am doing that for them as well.

Your example matters. Use it for good!

Are you asking for donation receipts when you donate in-kind goods like toys, clothes, food and such?

If not, you should! I am not always good about this but I’m trying to do better. This tip is as much for y’all as it is for me.

The answer could be “no,” but you won’t know if you don’t ask!
