We are having the closing party for “It Bears Repeating, Once More” this Thursday, September 24th from 7-10pm! Here is a photo of Valerie Calano aka @beadsofburden’s work before the show opened, and then after the show closed, with several pieces sold.

For this show visitors were invited to purchase works directly from the wall and take them home immediately. As the pieces sold, the grids slowly dissolved, leaving behind new arrangements, empty spaces, and a record of the night’s movement.

Join us Thursday for one last chance to see Valerie’s work, which you may recognize as the artist who made Factory’s door art! Along with the work of Darren Dewse, Derek Erdman, Kadee Spangler (Gosh Darn Glass), Kelly Lyles, Lou Daprile, and Rachael Comer. taken in The Factory by @thefactoryseattle

Rachael Comer (@buyhotlunch) is here hanging and repeating her install “Invitations” that was recently exhibited at @actualize.air for our show “It Bears Repeating, Once More”. These hand sculptures of some of her muses hold working vapes you can actually suckle from for that little bit of flavored nicotine hit, if you’re into that sort of thing. We love a functional art piece!

Join us tomorrow, Thursday, September 10th from 6-10pm to see her work and smoke at your own risk. Full exhibit info below:

If this show sounds familiar, that’s because it is. Last month we debuted It Bears Repeating, a group exhibition built around repetition and serial practice. But how could we do a show about repetition without repeating it ourselves?

With a whole new cast of characters, we present to you It Bears Repeating, Once More.

Just like the first iteration, each artist presents a series of closely related works built around a single concept, image, or process. Installed in dense grids throughout the gallery, these collections celebrate the act of making something again and again: the persistence, obsession, ritual, and subtle variations that reveal how a single idea can shift, evolve, or deepen over time. Some series drift gradually. Others barely change at all.

Throughout the evening, visitors are invited to purchase works directly from the wall and take them home immediately. As pieces disappear, the grids slowly dissolve, leaving behind new arrangements, empty spaces, and a record of the night’s movement.

Different artists. Different work. Same idea. Once more.

You’re probably familiar with artist @derekerdman, and if you aren’t, you’ve probably seen his work around town, on T-shirts, or hanging out in one of your friend’s apartments.

Derek spent many years here in Seattle pumping out paintings, throwing silly parties, and pulling off epic pranks before eventually heading across the country to Chicago. For this months show he sent us two different screen prints on HUGE sheets of newsprint, and this is one of them.

Back in Chicago, Derek has wheat-pasted some of these around town, but you can snag one for your own collection this Thursday night at the opening of It Bears Repeating, Once More, from 6–10pm! 🖕🖕

Come see what Derek’s other screen print says, along with work by Darren Dewse, Kelly Lyles, Lou Daprile, Rachael Comer, and Valerie Calano. taken in The Factory by @thefactoryseattle

Meet Kadee Spangler aka @gosh.darn.glass, one of the artists in this month’s show, “It Bears Repeating, Once More”, opening next Thursday, September 10th from 6–10pm!

Kadee is a stained glass artist and tattoo artist from Ferndale, Michigan, and she carefully shipped these sweet little glass candies all the way to Seattle to be part of the show! She also teaches stained glass classes, which is very cool and makes me want to learn how to make stained glass works immediately.

A lot of Kadee’s recent work takes the form of our favorite sweet treats, including root beer floats, Tootsie Rolls, Slurpees, croissants and jam. Basically, all the things we’d love to eat, but now in glass form. 🍬 These works from her “Candy is Dandy” collection are just $150 each!

Come check out Kadee’s work, along with work by Darren Dewse, Derek Erdman, Kelly Lyles, Lou Daprile, Rachael Comer, Valerie Calano, and Jules Innerpunk. It Bears Repeating, Once More opens next Thursday, 6–10pm at The Factory! ✨🍾✨ taken in The Factory by @thefactoryseattle

That’s a wrap on the first iteration of “It Bears Repeating”. Thanks to all who came out last night, went home with new artwork, and watched the eclipse with us! That was real fun. ICYMI, next month’s show is “It Bears Repeating, Once More” because how can we do a show about repetition without repeating it ourselves?! Same concept but with a whole new line up of artists!

One thing i’m excited about for this next one is that we have 2 out of town artists shipping in work for the show. The one and only @derekerdman from Chicago, and amazing glass artist Kadee Spangler aka @gosh.darn.glass from Detroit.

Derek’s tube was covered in doggo’s and has a hand drawn sticker on it that said “heal thyself” and here is a picture of it with my dog @gasparthegallerydog who is sulking and sticking his head under the couch cus he got in trouble for doing something bad. Heal thyself little Gaspar!

The local legends featured in the show are: Darren Dewse, Kelly Lyles, Lou Daprile, Rachael Comer, Valerie Calano, and Jules Innerpunk. A great line up. I’m excited to share their artwork with you in the coming weeks but for now this tube and dog is all you get. Xoxo, see y’all next month on September 10th! taken in The Factory by @thefactoryseattle
