And the Schafer Shovel goes to..
Hayden Hillock!
.
42 points on offense and a RUN THE DAMN BALL mantra means the line has to be in sync from the snap! Creating lanes, picking up blocks, and winning the battle in the trenches.
.
On the defensive side, allowing only 3 points means you’re winning that battle by closing lanes and bullying the QB.
.
Davison said Hayden had himself a game Thursday night and checked ALL the boxes for the Bison.
In a dominant win like this, we all know it starts with the big bodies up front!
.
Diggin’ trenches and burying bodies on the line, that’s what gets your initials on the shovel!
.
Congratulations Hayden, your Schafer Shovel Lineman of the Game!

Big Bison Senior smiles in a big win over Billings Senior!
.
Say that 5 times fast. Haha.
.
But the Bison really are fast and when it comes to offense, they know how to “Run The Damn Ball”!
.
42-3 is your final under the THURSDAY Night Lights of Memorial Stadium.
.
The seniors were celebrated and sporting the rare Columbia Blue uniform combo. Mix that in with a late season feeling of “must win” ahead of Crosstown, and you get a Great Falls High Team that ran like a well oiled machine.
.
They’ll be the first to admit they started slow, however. After holding the Broncs to a 3 & out, a Bison fumble on offense would set up a Senior field goal to make it 3-0.
.
That was all the wake up call they needed on a night emotions ran high.
.
They then proceeded to ground and pound the Broncs one possession after another. And on the other side of the ball, the defense was suffocating. Breaking up plays in the backfield and 2 turnovers to stop any momentum Senior may have had.
.
One big reason both the offense and defense were clicking so well came in the form of a 6’3” WR/DB combo, who had his sights set on the belt for over a year.
.
Kayden Davison!
.
Last spring he was the track Athlete of the Meet and said he was coming for it again next football season.
.
He called his shot and lived up to his word to the tune of 2 touchdowns and 2 interceptions!
.
One interception occurred in the endzone to end what looked to be a promising drive for the Broncs, and the 1st half.
.
Davison, Cannon, and Herring were a defensive lines worst nightmare, as the 3 headed beast of a run game imposed their will on the Broncs all game long.
.
Kayden and company got to “Ring The Bell” for the first time this season and now set their sights on the CMR Rustlers and a Crosstown that may be the biggest one in years!
.
Tonight belongs to the Bison and the strap belongs to Davison!
.
Congratulations Kayden! Your Player of the Game!
