This is by far one of the best reviews I’ve read. It’s how (Titi Oyemade) succinctly articulated the words in every sentence to highlight what the “Flow Freely” book is all about.

If I told you a group of teenage girls in the 21st century would be shy to raise their hands up to the question, have you started menstruating asked by a fellow lady as they are, would you believe that?

Well, I witnessed it first hand last Friday as we sentitized girls from a public and private school on menstrual health and overcoming period pain.

One thing I can tell you for sure is that, the Stigma is real, in order to get them to open up, I had to share personal stories.

The girls began to open up and had so many questions to ask, this work matters.

Imagine a 18-year old bleeding for over 10 days monthly and doesn’t even know it’s not normal.

More than just menstrual hygiene the proper education needs to be taught.

Copies of The Flow Freely Book was donated to their libraries as well.

We are calling out for sponsors and partners for @theflowfreelyproject please join us as we help educate the girls. Thank you 🙏🏾

“The girl I am, the change I lead.”
This year’s International Day of the Girl reminds us that girls are not waiting for change they are the change.

At @renomaholistichealth and @theflowfreelyproject, we joined forces with @afayhealth, @ladunbalogun to empower girls through education on menstrual health, emotional wellness, and healing because understanding their bodies and emotions is the first step to leading their lives with confidence.

The girls had questions honest, curious, and brave ones and together, we shared insights that helped them see their periods and emotions not as barriers, but as part of their strength. Through open conversations and practical healing sessions, we taught them to listen to their bodies, manage their emotions, and embrace self-awareness as a form of leadership.

Copies of The Flow Freely book were shared with the girls and donated to their school library, alongside sanitary supplies for the girls & their school’s period bank helping ensure no girl is left behind because of her cycle.

When a girl understands herself-body, mind, and emotions she becomes unstoppable.

Here’s to every girl leading change, starting with herself. 💚

This is fast becoming an unusual norm whenever I and my team go out to sensitize girls. Having to first set out the tone for them to feel comfortable about talking about their bodies and periods.

We started by asking if they had started menstruating and even if more than half the hall had started their periods they had initially felt shy about talking about it to a fellow lady.

What I can say for a fact that is open discussions about menstruation need to be a priority for young girls.

We taught them about menstruation, their body’s biological process, and how certain things are not normal for example, being too shy to speak about periods, and enduring various abnormalities due to fear and societal stigma.

We are working to ensure they grow unhindered by life’s biological processes, which can often lead to numerous medical issues that divert their time and attention from pursuing their dreams. Our mission is to empower them to overcome these obstacles and achieve their aspirations without being held back by period pains and other reproductive health challenges.

I and my teammates had one-on-one counseling with several girls who had personal pressing needs.

Menstruation shouldn’t be a topic to be stigmatized. Several copies of the Flow Freely book were given to the ladies and donated to their school libraries as well. As well as sanitary supplies.

And that’s how we spent the International Day of the Girl Child empowering girls about their bodies.💚

Together for a #PeriodFriendlyWorld

Young girls often choose to remain silent about the normal biological process of menstruation, enduring various abnormalities due to tears and societal stigma.

Just because periods aren’t often spoken about openly, doesn’t mean an explanation doesn’t exist.

On this year’s Menstrual Health and Hygiene Day, we want to encourage all girl out there not to shy away from asking important questions about their bodies.

Menstruation shouldn’t be a topic to be stigmatized. Every girl is fortunate to have a monthly report card “menstruation” that informs them about what’s happening in their body each month.

Let’s embrace and normalize discussing periods; this way, we can equip ourselves with the right knowledge and enjoy increased productivity.

One of our biggest discoveries whenever we sensitize younger girls across any location is the fact that even the older women learn a lot from these trainings, and can pass it on to their children and other younger girls.

Not only do the younger ask questions, but even the older women equally have questions to ask.

Menstruation is such a topic that requires it to be spoken about openly and freely. It shouldn’t be a topic to be stigmatized.

PS: Please feel free to send a DM for partnership and sponsorship, we often give out copies of the Flow Freely book to further educate the girls.

Advocating for menstruation is vital as it tackles an urgent global necessity affecting billions.

The menstrual cycle is a natural and crucial aspect of reproductive health, yet it faces stigma, false information, and inadequate access to vital resources.

Through promoting menstrual fairness, we aspire for a world where every menstruator possesses the awareness, supplies, and assistance needed to manage menstruation with respect and without obstacles.

Menstrual advocacy entails endorsing education, shattering taboos, and enabling individuals to accept their menstrual cycles without embarrassment or bias. It’s a rallying cry to bridge healthcare, education, and policy divides, ensuring menstruation is acknowledged as an essential entitlement, not a hardship.

By championing menstrual advocacy, we can cultivate a society that embraces menstruation, offers accessible and sustainable menstrual products, and nurtures inclusivity and comprehension.

Together, we can revolutionize the discourse on periods, promoting gender parity and enhancing overall welfare for all.

Menstrual advocacy is crucial because it addresses a pressing need that affects billions of people worldwide.

Menstruation is a natural and essential part of reproductive health, yet it is surrounded by stigma, misinformation, and insufficient access to necessary resources.

By advocating for menstrual equity, we strive for a world where every person who menstruates has the knowledge, products, and support they need to manage their periods with dignity and without barriers.

Menstrual advocacy is about promoting education, breaking taboos, and empowering individuals to embrace their menstrual cycles without shame or discrimination. It’s a call to action to bridge the gaps in healthcare, education, and policy, ensuring that menstruation is recognized as a fundamental right, not a burden.

By championing menstrual advocacy, we can create a society that celebrates menstruation, provides affordable and sustainable menstrual products, and fosters inclusivity and understanding.

Together, we can transform the narrative surrounding periods, advancing gender equality and promoting overall well-being for all.

Different environments comes with different challenges when it comes to menstruation.

What if I told you that girls are now afraid to confide in their mothers about their large blood clots, fearing that their mothers will attribute it to them getting an abortion done?

Well, that’s what we had to address today during the question and answer session on educating girls about their bodies and menstrual cycle.

Young girls often choose to remain silent about a normal biological process-menstruation, enduring various abnormalities due to fear and societal stigma.

Just because you don’t understand something doesn’t mean an explanation doesn’t exist.

Consistently experiencing large blood clots isn’t normal, and it doesn’t automatically mean that a girl has aborted a pregnancy.

Every girl is fortunate to have a monthly report card that informs them about what’s happening in their bodies each month. Let’s embrace and normalize discussing periods; this way, we can equip ourselves with the right knowledge and enjoy increased productivity.
