Are you ready to GO, GROW, GLOW? ✨ Join us at the Motel Theatre in @werklundcentre from October 8-12, 2025 aka the LAST STOP of the Calgary leg of this tour. Shorter, sharper and still unapologetically fat, The F Word returns after the 2023 world premiere! Fairytales, lectures, dance, and song are infused with wild whimsy as creator-performers Keshia Cheesman and Bianca Miranda explore friendship as two fat women on a journey to self-acceptance and fat liberation. They confront fatphobia, diet culture, and the intersection of fatness with race in this playfully political pop-art piece. Come hungry for a new perspective and leave fuller than you came! 😋 Trailer by @storieswithaira / @worksbyaira 💥 With sneak peek of the sound design & composition by @heyits.kpsmith 🎵 taken in Werklund Centre by @thefword_show

It has always been a DREAM to tour this show. ✨ After our world premiere in 2023, all we wanted to do was to keep sharing this beyond that. Fast forward to this 2025/2026 season and after a Calgary leg of this tour, we are headed to you, Edmonton! It feels more relevant than ever to share this story. The obsession with thinness is more insidious than ever, with the rise of Ozempic and other GLP-1 medications for rapid weight loss. Join us for an antidote to shrinking yourself! Little Keshia and Bianca would have really needed this one. 🗓️ THE F WORD at Expanse Festival March 20th, Friday - 8:30pm March 21st, Saturday - 8:30pm March 26th, Thursday - 7pm March 27th, Friday - 7pm LINK IN BIO FOR TICKETS. We know what you’re thinking, BIANCA! 📢 KESHIA! 📢 Where the heckerssss have you been?! So, we did the YYC leg of this tour - YMCA Seton & Rocky Ridge, then to Motel Theatre, Werklund Centre. So grateful to everyone who made it and cheered us on and to our incredible team who made this all possible 🥰 Then, we…went on vacation. 🤭🫦🌊 We had the time of our lives! It was exactly what our bodies and souls needed. Swipe to see some never before seen professional photos taken by photographers around the ship. This became one of our favourite things to do (knowing full well we would never be able to afford the hundreds of photos we took during the trip). What can we say, we just love a photo op 😮‍💨😏 (Yes, they edited and smoothed us out without telling us they were gonna do that.) And now, here we are! And…WHAT IS TIME?! Time has flown by! Expanse Festival @azimuth_theatre is coming up so soon so catch us in YEG - March 20, 21, 25, 26. Tickets are now LIVE! 📸 1-4 by @storieswithaira - YMCA, Rocky Ridge @ymcacalgary 📸 5 by @chelseayangsmith - Motel Theatre, Werklund Centre @downstageyyc 💓Direction by Clare Preuss 💡Lighting Design by Alexandra Prichard 👑 Props Design & Build and Costume Consultation by Sarbkali Hayer 🔮Set Design by Andy Moro 📽️Projection Design by Maezy Reign taken in Westbury Theatre by @thefword_show
