🎸 The Last Chance Saloon 🤠 - The Great Jam Session 📍 August 28th, 2026 @greatsouthernse19 Carousel 8/8 August brought us back to the Great Southern for the first jam night of the new season and a clear out of some songs that had been sat on our long list since our very first jam night last November. Rather than this being a collection of unwanted songs though, we ended up with a night of all-killer-no-filler, encompassing every aspect of our jam nights - the pop classics, the oldies, the rocking bangers - and a tribute to our at the time recently departed Dear Dolly. Even in the height of the summer holidays, we were able to draw together our faithful group of musical masterminds along with some brand new and talented faces. As usual, we set up the GoPro for the night to capture some glimpses into the magic 📹 If you like what you see, you should head down and join us - the Last Friday of each month at The Great Southern in Gipsy Hill. Until the next one… 🗓 September 25th @greatsouthernse19 #TheGreatJamSession #GipsyHill #LiveMusicLondon #SouthLondonMusicians #TheGreatSouthern taken in The Great Southern by @thegreatjamsession

September rolls around and the summer draws to a close, but at the Great Jam Session at Gipsy Hill we’re just getting warmed up. Presenting a month celebrating THE sound of the early 90’s, inspired by bands from the Seattle, Washington music scene and the Subpop label that pioneered “that Seattle sound”. Why September? Well, we’re a sucker for some good alliteration - but this month also marks the 35th anniversary of the release of the most commercially successful album of this era, sporting 2 singles with multi-BILLION streams on Spotify alone. 🤯 We invite you all to pay homage to the bands that defined a generation - from the big 4 to some hidden gems and influences. We can’t wait to be Outshined by your incredible performances, so don’t be Down in a hole - be a Better Man and Dive into the Great Jam Session at the Great Southern, Gipsy Hill! 🤭🤘🏻 📍 The Great Southern, Gipsy Hill SE19 1QH 🗓️ Friday 25th September ⏰ 8:00 pm sharp 💸 Free entry & free to play, always #TheGreatJamSession #GipsyHill #LiveMusicLondon #SouthLondonMusicians #TheGreatSouthern taken in The Great Southern by @thegreatjamsession

🎸 The Best Years (... according to Sir Paul Dark Brown) — The Great Jam Session 📍 June 26th, 2026 @greatsouthernse19 Carousel 9/9 To celebrate our own @pauldarkbrown ‘s birthday he took over the usual song list to give us his picks of the best of the 70’s through till modern day. Our enthusiastic participants trawled through the list and pulled out some absolute classics for us all to enjoy. We think this was an incredible end to the first “season” of our jams, and we can’t wait to get going with the next batch starting at the end of this month (August). As usual we set up the faithful GoPro to capture the night 📹 Here’s our hand selected picks of the best 60 second highlights we found for each song— featuring our more than 50 participants! Until the next one… 🗓 August 28th 🎶 #TheGreatJamSession #GipsyHill #LiveMusicLondon #SouthLondonMusicians #TheGreatSouthern taken in The Great Southern by @thegreatjamsession
