From the archive: Omnivisu was an interactive installation at the S/U Warschauer Straße station in the summer of 2004. Long before malls and corporate Neubau, pedestrians on the Warschauer Bridge were invited to interact directly with the office tower across from them. By looking into a box with two cameras filming their eyes, their images were projected live onto two windows of the façade, giving the building a face that reflected the viewer’s mood. Omnivisu sought to ask about the role of a city’s inhabitants in shaping urban development. The city awakes, a building sees. taken in Warschauer Brücke by @thegreeneyl

„Histories of Tanzania“ won the Africa International Design Award for Cultural Building Architecture! The project is a collaborative exhibition between the National Museum of Tanzania, the Humboldt Forum, and the Ethnological Museum of Berlin, presenting colonial belongings taken from Tanzania during German rule and putting Tanzanian perspectives at the center of the display. With weaving as both a metaphor and a method, the display is set in teak and bamboo structures. Embedded in the spherical structures are circular windows containing stories of Tanzanian communities and people that have been robbed under colonial rule. We were responsible for media design, planning, and installation of the circular screens showing interviews and testimonies – all part of the overall exhibition design by @apc.africa.

Necto was designed collaboratively and globally, built locally, reusable, lightweight and biodegradable. The project explores the theme of Intelligens through an immersive, innovative, and both computationally derived yet intuitively driven membrane structure that speculates on the future of temporary structures—lightweight, flexible and efficient, and embedded with latent intelligence
Luminous threads seamlessly integrated within the textile follow selected stress pathways, forming a constellation of light and spatialized sound. Immersive animations dance across the membrane, transforming the structure temporarily into different environments, only to disappear entirely in the next moment again. The generative light and sound animations embrace lightness, exploring the expressive possibilities of a very minimal visual and sonic palette. Each atmosphere playfully speculates on the tensions between craft and algorithm, nature and technology, emergent process and design intent.

The photo shows Charlotte Rothschild and Albrecht Menzel. They dance. They fall in love while studying at BAUHAUS. They marry. Lotte Rothschild was murdered in Auschwitz in 1944. For me, it is one of the most fundamental examples of how the history of the Bauhäusler and the BAUHAUS are interwoven with German and European history.
In my new work for the @bauhaus_archiv together with the @thegreeneyl i have been exploring these stories. Unfortunately, they are often as sad as the end of this love story. Sometimes, however, these images vibrate with an almost endless creative energy. #bauhaus #1930 #dancing by @thegreeneyl

What are you doing?
May 1–November 9, 2025
Neue Galerie, Kassel

“What are you doing?”, an exhibition we designed for the Neue Galerie in Kassel, invites visitors to see the museum from the inside out. Displayed without hierarchy, each carefully selected object is placed on equal footing to offer a space for quiet research and discovery. Resting on study tables, the artifacts form a grid of islands that invite visitors to step into the role of the researcher and uncover the everyday intimacy of museum work: collecting, preserving, researching, interpreting, and conserving. To achieve this, each table holds index cards accompanied by either a booklet or a short film, covering topics from ornament to astronomy.

Nestled in this landscape of study tables is one small room, the *Raum der Fakten*, offering an intermission with 213 facts and details about daily museum work laid out plainly.

The final room, *Diskursraum,* with films by artist Emma Rosa Simon @emmarosasimon set in a dark, immersive space, offers a more personal, emotional perspective on the institution and its responsibilities.

Curated by Dr. Rüdiger Splitter, with exhibition graphics and design by TheGreenEyl.

Discover Necto, a cutting-edge installation at the Venice Architecture Biennale 2025, showcasing a 3D knitted web of natural fibers designed by SO–IL, Mariana Popescu, and TheGreenEyl. Photographed by Iwan Baan, Necto is exhibited in Room 3 of the Natural Intelligence section from May 10th to November 23rd, 2025. This innovative structure employs a tension-based system and computational design processes. Necto's surface is crafted from natural fibers, produced in strips and optimized using computational modeling. The design team ensured Necto's portability by dividing it into parts for transport and assembling it on-site without heavy machinery. Following the exhibition, Necto will be disassembled and repacked for future use, leaving no trace behind. Necto represents a pioneering exploration of form-finding using textiles, adaptable enough to change shape according to spatial and curatorial requirements.

Glitter
Museum für Kunst & Gewerbe Hamburg
28 February to 26 October 2025

Our exhibition design treats glitter not just as material but as a spatial condition—one that refracts and resists containment. Works traditionally confined to walls form thematic islands, inviting movement through heterogenous landscapes of shimmer. Each room presents a distinct material language, constructing immersive environments that explore glitter’s multifaceted and contradictory nature—a material that is ephemeral yet enduring, seductive yet disruptive, personal yet political.

With its stark white floors and tables, the Glitter Craft Room contrasts the muted minimalism of museum spaces with the vibrant, hands-on creativity typically found in a DIY studio. Framed like artwork, large pegboard panels—DIY workshop staples—line the walls to showcase works by five glitter artists. Two additional blank panels invite visitors to contribute their own glitter works, turning the space into a participatory environment where the boundaries between art, craft, and gallery are blurred.

Teenage Glitter is an immersive installation that restages the “teenage girl’s room” as both a sanctuary and a site for empowerment. A central triangular fragment deconstructs the teenage bedroom: on one side, its carpeted floor and textured wallpaper expose an intimate environment, while the raw materials on the other side evoke a sense of vulnerability. Familiar teenage objects fill the space, while soft pink drapes envelop the room. The installation blends nostalgia with a raw sensibility, challenging traditional notions of femininity while offering both emotional comfort and a stage for subversion.

The Sparkle and Shine Room reimagines performance through its deconstructed material traces. At the center, layered circular podiums sheened in a metallic veneer evoke shifting sequins. Forming a sculptural landscape for costumes and wigs, this island showcases artifacts of transformation and identity. The sequin platforms are flanked by a bespoke display case for nail art that presents unique configurations for each set of nails.
