THE GLORIOUS DEAD has a new cover for paperback (above) and also a release date: 23 July 2026. Looks great in teal, I’m sure you’ll agree. Thanks to @mhairimcf, @amateuradam, and @thebobpalmer for the cover quotes, @saidaazizova_ for the editorial side, @megillustrates for the original concept and my agent @iambeckish. I love this book so much; I’m so glad I had the chance to write it.
As the algorithm demands FACES and CONTENT, pic 2 is my dog enjoying himself in the garden yesterday and pic 4 is me posing with a giant shortbread biscuit I got for Easter and ate on Good Friday (by midday).

Look hard enough in any book and you’ll find an element of what has made Heated Rivalry such a hit. And it’s not just the racy scenes. Tropes, emotional beats – call them what you want, if there’s something you liked in Heated Rivalry, might it be found in one of my five. I spent an hour on Photoshop to find out. I can’t promise anyone the next Hollanov and there’s definitely no hockey but two workmates do bonk on a business trip. And one has a closeted Olympian!
Available wherever you get your books. I’m a gay author, but my books about queer men couldn’t be more different from Heated Rivalry, right?

Issue 09 is officially out in the wild!

THE GLORIOUS DEAD is a year old! I never set specific goals – too much room for disappointment, although it might explain a few things about my life – but I really wanted a little idea I’d had in my twenties about a dead man and the seething leftovers to actually come to something before I was 50. And I just scraped it. My first (well, fifth), my last (hopefully not), my everything – TGD is not like other boys.

Packed, as ever, with cats, aristocats, questionable behaviour, romantic chaos, and a few things we probably shouldn’t try to explain, this is an extremely special one for everyone at LHC HQ, not least because we got to pick the brains of the undisputed royalty of the classifieds, @longlostpersonals! We don't do favourites at the LHC but this interview is one for the archive (indulge me)...

A wonderful, wonderful time at the gorgeous @manchestercentrallibrary for @lovestoriesetc 2026! Thank you to everyone who came to have their books signed, @waterstonesarndale for selling The Glorious Dead paperbacks ahead of pub day so readers could have it first, to @bookminxsjv and @alicemurphywrites for a cracking festival, and all the team for looking after us all so well, and my agent @iambeckish for playing hype woman.
So lovely to see everyone again and also some new faces. This is honestly one of the best parts of the job!

Issue 07 is fresh off the press and ready to be devoured by your feasting eyes!

We've got the most beautiful issue bound behind our Sol and Luna Cover because, obviously, its Summer and we're just creative like that.

In all seriousness, this month's paper contains a suspiciously compatible match courtesy of our resident cupid @theguyliner, more sage wisdom from Ms. Penny Lane, a short story by the literary legend that was Quiz, a small but important reminder to make proper use of your membership number, and a fresh helping of personal ads that continue to restore our faith in humanity.

If you've ordered a print copy, keep one eye on the letterbox and another on the letter that you must be writing to our extraordinary curation of human beings that curate themselves. What a testament to our collective humanity!
