I’ve been looking forward to the @fibreandforge open farm day since the moment we left last year 🐑💛

it was, as I expected, even lovelier than last year (which I didn’t really know was possible, tbh). Ran into so many friends, chatted & snacked & pet sheep & picked a pumpkin & just generally had the most wonderful autumn day. big love to my angel @poetica.knitting for being a crazy wool lady with me!

Truthfully I can’t believe it’s already this time…! 🧑‍🎄

I’ll be playing Santa nonstop for the next month and a bit getting tons of advent calendars made and sent out. If you’re hoping to snag one of your own (whether it’s crystals, candles, or wool), here’s what you need to know!

The listings will be live on my website this week to preview, but will be marked out of stock until Friday, October 16th at 11am PST when you’ll be able to snag one for yourself!

had so much fun test knitting the Spookitty Hat for @poetica.knitting !! I can’t wait to make a matching one for myself (though that probably won’t be until next year, I have lots of gift knits planned 🫪)

all my life I’ve been chasing the snugness of a storybook humanoid animal in its burrow. crackling fire, woolly sweaters, kettle on the hob, Yuletide tree lights twinkling. 🎄

I’m so excited to share that I’ll be creating my first fibre advent box this year! And the theme, “In the Burrow”, encapsulates what I love about the dark half of the year. Rich and moody earth tones with a little bit of sparkle and light.

Each box will consist of:

6x 25 gram hand dyed combed top (your choice of Merino, Oatmeal BFL, or Targhee)
5x 50 gram hand blended/processed batts (variety of fibres)
1x 100 gram hand dyed braid (your choice of fibre)
and a handful of little surprises!

that’s a guaranteed 500 grams of fibre! 😏😏

preorders open October 16th at 11am PST 🧶🕯️ there will be a limited number available & orders will ship mid November!

hi friends 🍂

i wanted to make a little introduction post because i have so many new people on this page ( thank you, btw, wow!! )

i’m Imogen! I live on the west coast of Canada with my cats & my partner. Most of my days are spent working (gladly so) as a small business owner @thehazelwitch 🔮. I started that business in 2019 and expanded into offering batts & fibre as well this year!

this page *here* is where I share my knits, spins, and fibre stuff. i could talk about this stuff for ages, so I love having a specific place where allllll I see on my feed is fibre art!

I’ve only been spinning a little over a year, but I love it so much. I spin on a 1970’s Ashford traditional, and just recently got an old Canadian country spinner which I’m having lots of fun working with.

My favourite things to knit by far are sweaters! I have so many & I don’t plan on stopping any time soon. But I also love gift knitting, and once the calendar comes September, that’s usually the majority of what I’m working on.

I’m just having the most fun entering this world of fibre art & indie dyeing. Everyone has been so welcoming and wonderful so far. I can’t wait to share more things in the coming weeks (including a wee advent calendar…. hehe) 🍁🧹

mega skein! 🧶🧶🧶🧶

this is a @mellyknits mega batt all spun up into one gigantic skein “Jewel” a CVMx with 7% sari silk - over 500yds destined to become a cozy poncho (eventually, unless I change my mind duh) 🫪

My new wheel has allowed me to ply everything into gigantic skeins and I’m having so much fun 😂 I love having ALL of a spin in one skein, it’s so much more satisfying than plying 100 grams at a time on my Ashford!

had a sweet autumn day in my handspun Lumme sweater! 🍁🍂

stopped by to drop some goodies off at @thewoollybulldog 🧶, had a pumpkin coffee, and walked around Fort Langley for ages with Isaac just looking at every little thing!

I’m hoping to have another shop update at the end of this month, thank you so much for your sweetness and love on last weeks!! 😭

finished my fern tee by Pernille Larsen 🌷🌾

i knit this in one strand of wool/linen from @bramble_ridge in the colour Linger! 🍂

this project took me a while longer than usual to knit up because of the teeny needles and yarn but I am so happy with the final shirt!
