Our Okapi Woven Bags were named in honor of the beautiful and extraordinary okapi, also known as the Congolese giraffe, forest giraffe, or zebra giraffe. 🇨🇩Native to the forests of the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), the okapi is the closest living relative of the giraffe and is found naturally only in the DRC. Sadly, these beautiful animals are endangered.

We encourage you to learn more about the okapi and support reputable conservation efforts, particularly those working in the DRC to protect the species and its natural habitat.
