The 40s are still the sexiest decade thus far. ⁣
⁣
I am slower to speak. Quicker to listen. A hell of a lot wiser. Open to taking far more risks. But oddly enough, I feel far more emboldened to let a hoe know I ain’t the one.⁣

This birthday is an odd one. A dear friend’s recent death last week at 33 really has me thinking. About a lot. What matters and what don’t.⁣

Last month, I deleted social media off my phone. With no plans to re-install it. I just re-installed IG a few mins ago to make this post. But the way it’s looking, I’m bout to delete it off my phone again.⁣

But when it comes to public audiences? They’re brutal and good storytelling demands an additional set of rules when it comes to strangers. It demands a public voice.⁣

The version of you who can make your family and friends laugh, may need a different m.o. on YouTube, a podcast, a stage, and even a newsletter. That damn algorithm!⁣

You ain’t gotta be fake, but you do have to give strangers a reason to keep listening that doesn’t demand you start tap dancing down the road of inauthenticity.⁣

There can indeed be power in the panic. The problem is that some of us have made panic, permanent. Far too many of us operate as if everything is a crisis.⁣

I made a major life move in September 2025. I left it all and chose me. Left the stunning loft. Left the comforts of my regular degular DC life. Released people I thought were friends and left all that I knew as security.

My voice had something say. So I chose to give it room to speak. And has it spoken!

The Voice Vault exists because I bet on me. I don’t lead people where I haven’t been. I gave my own voice permission, which allows me to vault & protect yours.
