It might "be too hot", the work goes on! 5.30am starts to beat the studio heat another 48 to go. This job has been a massive learning curve for me. Along with trying to navigate fibromyagia and CFS in the extreme heat its been difficult so i'm super happy to have managed to get the first batch out.

Time has flown, spring is in full force and ive been busy tending seeds of bookbinding practice.

Shout out to Freya @paperwilds for all your help to get me started with marbling. Im hooked!

Many thanks to Tracey @traceyrowledge for the most inspirational teaching at gold tooling on leather workshop. Investing in some tools so I can keep on practicing.

Heartfelt thanks to Arthur @greens_books for advice, and exceptional workshops on cloth rebacks, sharpening and paring leather. My knife will never be blunt again!

@theindexbindery remains ever busy. Thank you to my lovely ladies who worked increadibly hard at our conertina book and slipcase workshop, you really knocked it out of the park!

A couple of photos of books i've been working on. Time for a little rest this Easter before tending to a few irons left languising in the fire. taken in Ludlow (Shropshire) by @theindexbindery

It's been a story of 2 halves this month ! Daniel has been beavering away restoring a 17th-century book whilst I have been making nearly over 700 slipcases for Ludlow bookbinders for future collectors books! Whilst I'm pretty quick at slipcase building, it takes Daniel an hour to complete one handmade sewn headband. Some things just can't be rushed. #madeinludlow #workinghard #handmadestationery #letsgoludlow #handmade #ludlow #bespoke #rebinds #handmadebooks taken in Ludlow by @theindexbindery

Hello everyone, with the rain and storm forecast bringing books out would not help so unfortunately we have postponed once again our market stall. We are meeting next week to review the book and outdoor stall compatibility. We will update you as soon as I know. Meanwhile, we are open at Lower Barns Business Park, and the online shop is active, or we can take orders via the phone or email. Please leave a message if you contact us by phone as we are busy making books and will call you back as soon as we are free from glue! #loveludlow #madeinludlow #handmadestationery #letsgoludlow # taken in Ludlow by @theindexbindery
