No #Doggust for me this year bc I still have a crazy amount of pet sketches to get through, but here’s a repost from one of last year’s prompts! This one was one of my favorites and I get lots of requests to make prints of it available so I’ve added it to my InPrnt shop as well! Link is in my bio!

Looking forward to seeing everyone’s puppy posts this year!! 🐶

On Sunday I lost a piece of my heart. I loved her indescribably. Hug your pets. You never know how many days you have left with them.

Goodbye my friend. This is how I will choose to remember you. Happy and full of life. 💔 by @thejindodog

🐶 What’s the story, Wishbone? 🎶

No this isn’t a real Golden Book but maybe I can manifest it.✨Who else learned everything they know about literature from this dog? I spent hours watching Wishbone on @pbskids when I was a kid. I also had the vhs tapes, books, and the talking plush. I was obsessed!

This piece will be available as part of the A Cause for Paws art show this Saturday (4/13) benefitting the Burbank Animal Shelter. Swipe to the last slide for all the info on this free to attend event. Hoping this little dog with a big imagination helps raise some funds for some very real dogs looking for homes 💖

🦎🐌 SWIPE >> for full image 🐢🦉

Been wanting to challenge myself lately to draw a full scene but was a bit stuck on what the subject matter should be, so I decided to redo an assignment from way back when I was in college.

I really took my time to and myself enjoy the process here, which is rare for me. Usually I’m in a rush to finish as soon as I get a sketched barely nailed down, but I loved putting in the time and effort to research which animals I wanted to include and how the mangrove forest ecosystem functions while I worked out this illustration. Really hoping to take on projects like this going forward professionally, where I can include learning about animals and their environments as part of the process.

🦴 Doggust Day 19 - Pit (mix) 🦴

This is my sweet, goofy boy Dipper! The fluffiest, gentlest pittie there ever was. His mom was rescued from Tijuana by @muttscouts and fostered by @victorialilyshaffer and then we adopted him at the height of the pandemic. He brings so much fun and silliness to our lives and is so gentle with our baby. Just couldn’t imagine our family without him!
