Today we road in support of @dialedhealth 🤠 Derek was involved in a hit and run last week, leaving him for dead. To see him smiling today was inspiring. While we have our thoughts and opinions about making the roads a safer place for cyclists, this was a case of pure negligence from a driver. The message we wanted to share is COMMUNITY. Derek represents a lot of what we aim to achieve with Enjoy, such a bright light in our community and in the world of cycling. Watching the cycling world come together was incredible, and a direct reflection of Derek and his character. Must have been a 1000 cyclist out there today riding for Derek, on a week’s notice. If you have the pleasure of knowing or even meeting him, you know he only wants to add value to your life, wether that be in your athletic endeavors or in your personal life. To sum a lot of it up, a incredible human.

Derek wears many hats, a talented ATHLETE, a MENTOR, ROLE MODEL, COACH, FRIEND, cycling AMBASSADOR, and most importantly, a FATHER, a Husband, a SON. Derek defines “lead by example” .
We look forward to watching him take on this next challenge, and his ability to inspire us along the way 🫶

ENJOY

Tabor, CZE. 14 years ago….
My first ever and one of my most memorable Cyclocross World Championships!

This particular year, the course was all ice and snow. Literally a cyclocross ice skating rink. We were putting sheet metal screws in the soles of our shoes for running traction. @svennys had custom studded @a_dugast tires that ended up being banned by the UCI.

I had never ridden in such extreme conditions. I remember listening to the elite men on tire choice and just saying…”I don’t have a clue so I’ll run whatever you think!” And it honestly went pretty damn well… I may have only hit the deck once.

Cool stuff!! Cyclocross is truly the best discipline we have in cycling! We need more love for cyclocross these days!
