things millennial women are doing instead of healing normally:

building gardens
romanticizing slow life
buying plants like they’re emotional support systems
touching grass (literally)
learning to grow food because nothing else feels stable

and somehow… it’s working. #diygarden #greenwitch #flowermagic #slowliving #millenialwomen by @theladydandelion

They call it gardening. I call it remembering who I am. Every seed I plant is a tiny act of rebellion—a spell for softness, freedom, and magic rooted in the earth 🌸 #flowermagic #gardeninspo #ilovemygarden #flowersheal #diygarden #garden #fairycoreaesthetic #greenwitch # by @theladydandelion

Some of us watched The Craft and never recovered. 🖤🌿

We’ve traded teenage angst for medicinal herbs, garden beds, and a deep suspicion of a world that wants us disconnected from the natural world.

Learning your plants is powerful magic.

Learning what thrives in your climate. Making your garden a place of beauty, nourishment, and connection.

You don’t need to live in a cottage in the woods or have acres of land to begin. A few pots on a balcony count, too.

If you yearn for this, your green witch era is calling. 🔮

These 5 crops are staples in all my designs for Fall:

🌼 Calendula — multi medicinal edible flowers that bring a little magic to your garden and beauty to your plate.

🌿 Parsley — an underrated culinary herb that deserves a place in every kitchen garden.

🌱 Cilantro — a cool-season favorite that’s perfect for fresh salsas, salads, and all your favorite fall meals.

🥬 Lettuce — so fast and easy to frown. nothing beats stepping outside to harvest your own salad, and the mix of colors and textures makes a raised bed beautiful, too.

🧄 Garlic — plant individual cloves now for an abundant future harvest of one of the most useful staples in your kitchen.

Fall is probably my favorite season to garden.
Of course, the best planting plan depends on your sunlight, microclimate, and space. But some plants find a place in all environments.

In a world racing toward artificial everything, I want my girls to know the real thing. 🌿

How to grow food. How to recognize a medicinal plant. How to read the seasons, trust their intuition, think critically, create with their hands, and find wonder in the living world.

I want them to know the kind of intelligence that comes from curiosity, experience, connection, and being part of something bigger than themselves.

Not because technology has no place in their future, but because I never want them to lose touch with the things that make us human.

Our ability to think for ourselves. To care for one another. To work with the earth. To create something from nothing. To know that we are part of nature, not separate from it.

Maybe the most radical thing we can do for the next generation is teach them how to grow a garden, nourish their bodies, and stay curious about the world beyond a screen.

Less artificial intelligence. More natural intelligence. More humanity. More magic. 🌸

There is something deeply calming about drawing a garden by hand while the rest of the world feels increasingly unhinged.

I’ll be over here thinking about seasons, flowers, food, pollinators, and how to make someone’s little piece of earth more beautiful and alive.

This is my soft rebellion.

If you’re dreaming about a garden that feeds you, nourishes you, and makes your everyday life feel a little more magical, I’d love to help. 🌸

Comment “GARDEN” and I’ll tell you how we can work together. #kitchengarden #growyourownfood #gardengirl #greenwitch #fairygarden by @theladydandelion

Here’s my simple pomodoro method. Works every time 👌
Pick or buy some high quality heirloom tomatoes. Chop them up into thick chunks.
Heat about 5 tablespoons of olive oil and drop in a few smashed garlic cloves.
Add your tomatoes.
Add a bundle of fresh basil.
Simmer. And some salt. Keep simmering.
Meanwhile cook your choice of pasta. I like angel hair and fusilli for this.
Once pasta is almost ready, take out some pasta water and add it to your sauce.
When your sauce is cooked down enough, add the pasta, some butter, mix, add more basil.
Serve topped with Parmesan and fresh more basil leaves. 🤌 #recipeoftheday #kitchengarden #growyourownfood #gardengirl #tomatoseason by @theladydandelion

All that work just for the squirrels and birds to feast on? No thanks. Harvest your tomatoes at the first site of blush color and let them ripen in the safety of your home :) happy gardening! #greenwitch #gardeninspo #growyourownfood #foodgarden #kitchengarden by @theladydandelion

This is what my kitchen garden looks like after a long, brutal Los Angeles summer. 🌿🥵

Bolted plants. Plants that have completely given up. And a few areas I’ve intentionally pretended not to notice.

Even as a professional garden designer, my garden does not look perfect all the time.

Gardens go through seasons. They get tired. Life gets busy. Sometimes you have to let a garden get a little wild before you can bring it back.

The good news? It’s all fixable.

I’m about to give this garden its fall reset: rebuilding the soil, clearing the summer casualties, planting cool-season food, adding herbs and flowers, and turning it into a rich, abundant food haven again again.

If your garden is looking a little rough right now too, you are not failing.

A world where children know the seasons.
Know how food grows.
Spend time outside.
See insects and birds and flowers as part of their everyday lives.

Know how to make something with their own hands.
Know how to heal themselves.

And maybe most importantly, grow up understanding that we are not separate from nature. #greenwitch #gardeninspo #diygarden #flowersheal #growyourownfood by @theladydandelion
