We are blown away by all of the new fans and followers that we've made in the past 24 hrs and throughout this week on the road with @officiallymcconaughey helping promote @amziahkingfilm releasing tomorrow 8/14.

We thought we should reintroduce ourselves for those that don't know us - we are The Last Bison. Born and raised in the swamps of southeastern VA, we've been making music together since we were teenagers. We've been signed to a major label, an indie, and self-released albums. We've toured around the US and Europe and played in living rooms and at huge festivals. Nothing quite compares to what we've experienced this week and we are so excited to share our music and our story with you.

Its hard to believe 'Quill', a song @benjaminhardesty wrote 15 years ago has taken the journey it has to bring us to this moment, but we wouldn't have it any other way. Through it all we’ve come to learn that art does not have a shelf life. We released a revisited version of that tune just last week that we're extremely proud of (find it wherever you listen to music) and will be releasing 'Our Inheritance' - a reclamation, a rediscovery, a revisitation of the album that started it all tomorrow 8/14. Thanks for being here!

It’s taken almost 15 years, but we’re finally throwing our hat in the ring for the first time in this year’s round of Grammy voting with our album, Our Inheritance.

Over the past year, we’ve been reminded that art doesn’t have a shelf life. The songs on this album changed our lives 15 years ago, and this music continues to evolve, surprise us, and find new life — most recently with “Quill” and “Inheritance” featured in The Rivals of Amziah King.

Thanks to everyone who made this album possible and thank you to all of you for listening to it. by @thelastbison

We’ve been waiting a long time to hit the road again, and we can’t wait to bring some incredible folks out with us for these shows in December.

Dec 10 - @jamminjava
We have our friend @adamagin joining us! He’s a great singer-songwriter and friend (Ben co-wrote a song with him “Kids From Homebase” that you should definitely check out!)

Dec 11 - @clementinecafe
Shenandoah Valley local John Paul Douglas of @jpdandthebittertrades has been part of the VA scene for years. This will be our first time crossing paths with him but are looking forward to having him open the show.

Dec 12 - @theannexnfk
We played a couple shows with @willoverman earlier this year and are looking forward to having another son of the 757 with us to kick things off for our hometown!

Dec 13 - @mercuryloungeny
Ben met @elikollmanmusic earlier this year as Eli was opening for @thelonebellow. A bunch of crossed paths and mutual connections later, we’re excited to have him in NYC!

See y’all out there! by @thelastbison

Management said we should look in the comments of the “Choosin’ Texas” cover we did on The Tonight Show with Jimmy and Matthew. They didn’t disappoint. by @thelastbison
