The last time I saw my grandpa we brought him dinner. I get my foodie gene from him, we looove to eat. He and I were too busy chowing down to realize we were dropping food at the same time and my grandma said “boy you guys are two peas.” After we were done eating he said “that was the worst Damm burger I ever had.” He was hilarious and very sarcasm forward.
We were watching tv one time and my sister put on Say Yes to the Dress. He seemed uninterested at first but eventually started commenting “I don’t like that one, too many ruffles for me.” (Again hilarious).
The last picture is he and grandma cuddling on the couch. Their love is the most beautiful I’ve ever seen. Far beyond anything I’ve seen in movies or tv shows or books, it was the most sweet and strong thing. One time we were going out to eat and my grandma got out of the car before him and he turned to us in the backseat and said “I’m the luckiest Damm man ever.”
The home he built was the place I felt the safest as a child. And in their company I felt so loved and accepted. The way he was with his family and animals, he was such a sweet and gentle soul.

I meant to post this a while ago but…
Leah’s through the decade:
This past 10 years has been a RIDE. Obviously filled with many ups and downs but overall; I loved all of it. I grew through so many different versions of myself and I can’t wait to see what my 30s has to teach me.
And I cannot say THANK YOU enough to everyone who wished me a happy birthday, to all of the people who have loved me and taught me things, to all of the opportunities I have been gifted, and the list goes on. I feel full. Full of love and gratitude for the endless support and love and care I got to receive in my 20s, and the love and care I gave myself too.
I’m just really grateful beyond words.
You are beautiful.

I had no idea how much I would love this character. She’s bright, fun, brilliant, sexy, caring, ambitious, and the list goes on.
It’s been such an honor and a challenge to play this role and I grew to love her much more than I thought I would. And this cast has been nothing short of wonderful. It’s been a hell of a run, and while I’m ready to put this to bed, I’ll miss it so much. by @theleah13
