“God, I’m trusting you to guide me in wisdom as I begin the journey of writing 12 devotions, design 12 illustrations, and 12 necklaces for my upcoming subscription box. I believe you want to download these into my heart through prayer and seeking your Word.”

SECONDS LATER, HE ANSWERED!
I put pen to paper and He gave me 12 topics and almost all the devos I needed! I stopped writing because my hand hurt. 😂 BUT THEN, one road block after another turned into doubting that God did what He did, and even more so, doubting myself. So here I am, in a total act of obedience and not at all because I think I am ready.

💔There’s a pain that comes with losing your children to their own lives. No one warns a mother that daily talks with your kids, cease. No one tells you that their problems are no longer yours to help solve. No one explains the void you feel when there’s weeks that go by without a text.

But then, it’s like all of that emptiness instantly disappears the moment your kids come home, or you get to take a trip together. It’s like the love deepens and fills the void, and in those moments there is a joy that is unexplainable and you start to realize you now have something you’ve never had before. It’s beautiful and hard and breathtaking, to watch your children soar. And it brings peace.

I’m guessing, as time passes, the pain lessens. But then again, so will the visits. To all the Moms out there who are grieving the growing up and moving on part, of raising children… I see you… I struggle with how to not-parent now, just like you. I encourage you, just as I have to encourage myself, to trust them to the Lord, every day, and know that life moves on for us too. Don’t let this pain overtake you. 💛

💛years fly when you’re older, huh? i just celebrated my 48th Birthday…so why do i feel 25? i mean, my body isn’t that of my younger self but my mind is vibrant with life, ideas and yes, i still have many big dreams.

it’s been a rough couple of years, though. i recently realized that i’ve been grieving the loss of my shed… my happy place where i created beautiful things… where i could step into a world of color and spark and warmth. and all of a sudden it was gone. dismantled with love and tears. now it sits in a dusty storage unit never knowing when it will come to life again, or if it ever will.

it wasn’t until after i recognized this, and cried a lot over it, that i felt a shift. maybe i’ve been holding back because my shed held my creative identity, and without it, who am i as an artist really?

so maybe now that i’ve wrestled with that, i’m ready. maybe now that i see that my success isn’t wrapped up in WHERE i create, but HOW i do it.

i’m going to put this out there… i’m starting something new. you haven’t seen the last of the lemondime 💛 by @thelemondime

🩵Our BABY GIRL TURNED 16 yesterday!

From the moment I knew I was having another girl, my heart felt fulfilled. I knew she was our last and the desire to have a sister for Ellie came to pass. 🥰 God is SO good.

Amara has always lived bold! Her love for Jesus is inspiring and her raw honesty is refreshing. She lights up a room and is loyal to her core. She’s talented in more ways than I can count and when she plays her guitar and sings I cry tears of gratitude. I cannot wait to see all that God has for her in her life!

I love you with all my heart, my no-so-little-anymore, wide-eyed wonder girl!

I will never be able to explain the love I have for you, the belief I have in you, and the influence I believe you have to impact the people around you! You have battled the mind, disappointments, and wounds… but you remain faithful. You always know that there is one voice that matters, and it’s His. Keep seeking, keep reaching, keep following His lead, in freedom! Your birth and life has changed my life in the most beautiful ways. @christinejeanwelch, do you realize when you asked me for this painting for your office, and I put this canvas up on the easel, it’s the first time in decades that I wasn’t afraid to paint? I wasn’t afraid to mess up, or that I would quit, or for it to be imperfect. DECADES. I’ll leave the final reveal for when I give it to you in person, but I wanted to say thank you. Thank you for creating @theclaritycollab and especially @ignite.sisterhood. Thank you for coaching me towards Holy alignment. Thank you for being my cheerleader when I can’t even cheer for myself. This weekend I was privileged to be able to attend the 2025 Springhill women’s retreat in Evart Michigan, where our son is currently an apprentice! Not only did I get fed by amazing sessions with @alyson.pryor, but I got to spend so many great moments with Ezra!

One morning, as I heard a golf cart in the distance, I turned off my path to try and see if it was him, and in that moment, I realized that everywhere I went, I was just hoping to get a glimpse of him. God spoke to my heart and said that’s how He feels about me! My favorite part about the weekend was that moment. 💛
