The LexNova Guild is where Australia's leading progressive lawyers come together to do more work, and better work, together.

POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Communitas ‘26 is done and dusted. And what an experience it was for Australia’s brightest and bravest legal minds!

We’re tired. We’re proud. And we couldn’t be more chuffed with how our first strangely delightful and delightfully strange legal festival turned out.

The word in the room that our delegates, our speakers, our sponsors, our team, and our curious onlookers kept coming back to was ‘different’. Everything about Communitas was different, fresh and exciting.

This feels like the first page of a new chapter in Australia’s legal category - one that we’re so proud to be writing with you all. 🖤

Stay tuned for many more photos, including from the Dark LexNo Gala, which turned the @racvhobart into a gothic wonderland of darkness and debauchery (all alleged, of course.)

Communitas will be back in 2027. Until then, stay weird, stay open.

CALL FOR CREATIVE PERFORMANCE: LexNova Guild’s Communitas 27

Lawyers are considerably more than their practice. At Communitas ‘27, Guild keynotes are weaving performance into their mainstage moments. So why not open the floodgate? We are opening four Creative Performance spaces at the Dark LexNo Gala for members of our community to share a short piece of their own work. It might be:

🎤 Spoken word
🎶 A song, solo or with others
💃 Dance
🎬 A short dramatic or comedic performance...or something else.

If you’re an artist (and so many of you are), LexNova Guild is a space that welcomes your expression and celebrates your contribution. Email [mariana@lexnova.com.au](mailto:mariana@lexnova.com.au) with the subject line Expression of Interest: Creative Performance. taken in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia by @thelexnovaguild

Melbourne mornings hit differently.

@lawganised.kath and @lawganised.selinatattis swapped their usual desks for @thegoodaxe yesterday and caught up in person with @lawganised.erinlaracy, the Melbourne-based member of our team. Being in the same room doesn’t happen often for us, so we made the most of it.

A big part of the morning was catching up with @iolanthegabrie, who owns The Good Axe. It’s always a pleasure to spend time with Iolanthe, and working from her space for the morning made it even better. If you’re after somewhere to work for the day in Melbourne, we can’t recommend it enough.

Thank you for having us, Iolanthe!

Curious about joining us for the next #FirmFocusFriday? We’ll be announcing it soon on the LexNova.com.au website. taken in Preston, Victoria, Australia by @thelexnovaguild

Lawyering leaves little time outside of being 'on the tools' for valuable learning about what is impacting our profession.

The Petal is a daily shortform podcast summarising the legal developments of the day in Australia and New Zealand.

Drawn from the same case coverage that powers the FADE Ledger, the podcast is a goldmine for independent practitioners wanting to stay up-to-date in a digestible format they can listen to anywhere, anytime.

LEX DO THIS: At LexNova Guild, we help independent practices say yes to more business through our unique 'co-opetition' model. Powered by LNXChange - our proprietary digital engine - Guildmasters can draw upon the collective bandwidth of their colleagues to grow their practices safely (or to find additional work when things are tight).

It's a high-trust environment peopled by Australia's best subject-matter specialists, focused on building their practises without referring work to biglaw and losing clients. Zero d*ckheads allowed, of course.

You can apply to join the LexNova Guild at our twice-annual membership opening OR by introduction from a current Guildmaster.
