I’m Kaila. Writer, big sis, woman of faith, professional dreamer, and apparently someone who keeps finding new ways to reinvent her life.

Sometimes the hardest part of leaving a toxic relationship isn’t letting go of the person. It’s letting go of everything you invested trying to make it work.

I thought staying longer would eventually make all those years worth it. But time invested isn’t a reason to keep wasting more time.

I realized why I don’t like surprises. Sometimes we get so caught up hoping there’s a good explanation for someone’s behavior that we stop asking questions.

But what if the truth isn’t what you’re hoping for?

I’d rather have honest communication than a surprise ending.

Not every red light in a relationship means leave, but it DOES mean stop. 🚦

Have the hard conversations, reassess your boundaries, and decide if it’s safe to move forward.

But if the light never turns green again, it’s okay to take a different route.

I’d rather ride alone than keep going in the wrong direction with the wrong person. 💛

I learned this lesson the expensive way. 😭

I kept putting off small car repairs because nothing felt urgent. Then a Nor’easter hit, water started leaking into my car, and suddenly all those little problems became one expensive problem.

Procrastination has a price. Fix what needs fixing before it becomes an emergency.

Because the rain will come. Be ready.
