Different projects have different audiences, goals, and definitions of success. For Youth Congress, the focus was storytelling around relatable leadership themes. One post reached 82.4K views in 14 days. For an Austin art account, I created weekly event roundups featuring exhibitions, artist talks, festivals, and creative gatherings. The aim was to make local events easier to discover and give artists and organizations a place to share their work. Within two months, artists and galleries began reaching out to be featured. For another account, I worked on more intentional, audience-focused content. During my management period, the account grew from 10K to 11.3k followers. Each project called for a different approach because each had a different purpose. Before deciding what to post, I want to understand who we’re speaking to, what the business wants to achieve, and what role the content can play. There’s no one-size-fits-all strategy. The content should make sense for the brand and the people it wants to reach. 🌾 If you’re a business owner looking for a more intentional approach to social media, my DMs are open. by @thelovelystrategy
Before I start creating content, I want to understand the business behind it. What does the business want to achieve? What makes it different? Who is it trying to reach, and what challenges is it facing on social media? These are some of the questions I work through before building a content strategy. I also review the existing social media presence, research competitors, and look for opportunities to give the brand a clearer direction. Because I don’t want to create posts just to keep a feed active. I want to understand what the content needs to communicate and how it can support the business’s goals. The design comes later. First comes the thinking behind it. If you’re a business owner who feels unsure about what to post or how to make your content more purposeful, my DMs are open. đŸ€ by @thelovelystrategy
A lot happens before a post appears on your feed. There’s the research, the planning, the creative decisions, and the work of understanding what resonates with an audience. But one thing I always come back to is this: not every post needs to do the same thing. Some content introduces people to a brand. Other content answers questions, builds familiarity, or helps someone decide whether a business is right for them. Understanding the goal behind a post helps shape what you create and what you look at afterward. That’s why social media management is more than keeping an account active. It’s about making decisions with a purpose and learning from what happens next. If you’re a business owner trying to figure out what your content should actually be doing, my DMs are open. I’d love to hear what you’re working on. by @thelovelystrategy
A growing account is exciting, but the numbers only tell part of the story. When I started managing this account, I didn’t want content creation to become a cycle of figuring out what to post next. I wanted to understand the business, the audience, and the conversations happening around the content. That meant researching before creating, observing what people responded to, and staying open to what their feedback could teach me. One thing this experience reinforced for me is that good content isn’t created from assumptions alone. It takes curiosity, attention, and a willingness to learn from the people you’re trying to reach. Because social media isn’t just about getting people to notice a brand. It’s about giving them something worth connecting with. And that’s the intention I want to bring to every brand I work with. by @thelovelystrategy
Sometimes growth asks us to let go of things we once prayed for. Not because they were bad, but because they no longer fit who we are becoming. It’s okay to feel grateful and still choose to move forward. It’s okay to be scared and take the step anyway. Growth is rarely loud or easy. Most days, it looks like quiet courage and honest decisions. If you’re standing at a crossroads right now, this is your reminder. You are not wrong for wanting more. Do not be afraid of outgrowing old versions of your life. Your future self will thank you for it. by @thelovelystrategy
I used to think consistency meant showing up every day, posting just to stay visible. But over time, I realized something important: without strategy, consistency doesn’t always mean progress. A social media strategy gives your content direction. It helps you understand your audience, define your goals, and create posts that actually move your business forward. When you know who you’re speaking to and why, your content becomes more than just visuals. It becomes purpose-driven. Ready to stop guessing and start creating with intention? Let’s build your strategy together. đŸ’» —— #LovelyJoyceVA #SocialMediaStrategy #SocialMediaTips #ContentWithPurpose #SmallBusinessMarketing #DigitalStrategy by @thelovelystrategy
Most people think social media management is just about posting pretty pictures. But the truth? It’s about understanding people. Before I create content, I take time to really get to know your brand, how your business works, who your audience is, and what makes your message stand out. I research your audience to learn what they love, what they need, and what content truly resonates. I also study your competitors to spot gaps and opportunities that help your brand shine brighter. Because at the end of the day, it’s not just about how your feed looks. It’s about creating content that feels authentic, supports your goals, and connects with your audience in a meaningful way. Pretty posts are nice. But strategy? That’s what drives results. #lovelyjoyceva #socialmediastratĂ©gy by @thelovelystrategy
