This year, 13,983 people signed up to walk, run and roll 50K throughout May, raising more than £1.6 million to support people affected by MS. 💙

The impact of the challenge was clear, with 93% of survey respondents completing the challenge, 85% fundraising and 54% saying that raising awareness for people affected by MS was an important motivation. 🙌

A huge thank you to everyone who took part and helped make The May 50K 2026 such a success! 🌎

3.1 million people are now living with multiple sclerosis (MS) worldwide.

Published today, this new estimate draws on data from 133 countries, representing 93% of the world's population. It provides the most comprehensive picture of global MS prevalence and incidence to date.

Global MS prevalence is up from 2.8 million in 2020 and 1.8 million in 2013. Today, 1 in every 2,600 people lives with MS.

We are so happy to announce that globally The May 50K raised an incredible £1,609,836.58 (€1,869,060.52). Thank you so much for all your donations.

The money raised will enable the Multiple Sclerosis International Federation (MSIF) to collaborate with its members across the world to improve the quality of life and wellbeing of everybody affected by multiple sclerosis.

A massive thank you to our member societies in the UK, Ireland, Germany, and the Netherlands for their incredible support.
