A course outline to a course is like a business plan to a business…it’s essential 💫.

And luckily with a #microcourse it’s faster and easier than a flagship behemoth!

A course outline helps you stay focused, clear and organized with your content creation.

Too often, first time course creators suffer from the ‘twin sins of instructional design’ - too much content coverage AND activities/worksheets that feel random and don’t encourage people to take action that connect with the course goals.

Here’s how I’m approaching my course outline for @themicrocourse

Step 1: write down random ideas, concepts, tools I want to share on the Notes app

Step 2: when inspiration struck and I had gathered many ideas, I spent about an hour writing down the curriculum on a piece of paper

Step 3: when inspiration struck, I started building it out on a template on a google doc

Step 4: finesse. I’m in this process now.
