Did you know that you could do this on your Midwest OCR medal landyard? 👀

Thank you @olyxj99 for the video.

POV: When you get to a section of the trail where there's no mud and no hills.

Am I right?🤣🤣

Some people run from hard things. Our racers run toward them with a smile.

2027 race announcement coming soon and you're gonna want to be one of the first 100 to sign up. 👀

This race never dissapoints and this year the weather was an extra "obstacle" lol. We had a delay due to the thunderstorm and lightening 🌩
.
I ran the competitive 10k but unfortunately I lost my band at the same obstacle again! 🤦🏻‍♂️😩 (When Pegs Fly 🐖) It felt like this year's version was a little more challenging but that's what I like about this race, you never know what to expect until close to race day.
.
After I finished my 10k I went back for a second lap, a 5k ruck carrying 25lbs, earning my Ruck patch and my x2 beard piece.
.
The cookie table at the finish line was a great idea, thanks to everyone who contributed 🍪
.
I'll definitely be back again next year, I still have that one goal in mind to be able to keep my 100% obstacle completion band 💯
.
Make sure to keep an eye when registration for next year's race opens, be one of the first 100 sign-ups and get your finisher shirt customized with your name. I also highly recommend getting that VIP on-site parking, it's so worth it but it sells out fast.

Before you ran the race, they did.

Shoutout to Ryan of @hartfit_colorado_springs and Bill of @mythic_race.

These two helped with setup and race day, and they also ran the course first. They checked mileage, checked course tape, and hit the obstacles, because they're OCR racers just like you and me.

But they ran it alone. No crowd cheering. No emcee hyping them up at the start. No one waiting at the finish line. Just them, the course, and me popping up at a few spots to grab video and check mile markers.

Lucky for their age groups, they raced before race day. Both got through every obstacle, but they chose to help us instead.

If you're not following them both on social, do it now and then add their events to your 2027 schedule.

Event Info:
@mythic_race - April 10th | Blodgett, MO
@hartfit_colorado_springs - Sept. 6th | Peyton, CO

Anthony is a fighter. He’s a warrior. He’s one of the strongest people I’ve ever met.

He’s never let his abilities limit what he can accomplish, and on a rainy Saturday morning at the @themidwestocr @thecliffsinsaneterrain event he proved it.

12 obstacles. Different abilities tested. And he absolutely crushed it.

He stomped through knee-deep water, crawled through mud, climbed his way to the top and pushed through every challenge put in front of him.

None of this would have been possible without our incredible family unit, the amazing MOCR coaches (especially @joshenderle!) and the entire crew of athletes who cheered him on, encouraged him and refused to let him quit.

And now? He’s already gearing up for next summer.

Let Anthony remind you that mindset makes a difference. Sometimes you just have to find a way, keep pushing and believe you can.

I may have the heart of a Marine, but Anthony encompasses the passion, strength and determination of a true warrior.

What did you think of the Tangled Rig? Unlike other rig obstacles, this one did not have dedicated lanes. Every hanging rope/attachment was random, on purpose. Think of it as a "choose your own adventure" to get through the rig.

We've never done this style of rig in a race and just curious of what you thought about it.

Or did you not even notice that there were no dedicated lanes? 😆
