———————————————————————
Toronto loves asking who’s next, but we still haven’t given enough respect to the artists who’ve already put the work in.

BLAQ picked five. Glory picked five. Together, we named 10 Toronto rappers who deserve way more respect than they get.
No politics. No popularity contest. Just overdue flowers.

Who belongs on the list, and who did we miss?

Is 50 cent really unbothered? 👀😂 Defending your son is one thing, but posting your ex 12 years after the breakup has us asking questions!

Dad duties or lingering feelings? Let’s talk 👇🏾

DJ Natural had to check Marlon on this one 👀🇯🇲

When does representing Jamaican culture turn into playing into the same old stereotypes? Is it just comedy, or does representation come with responsibility?

Where do y’all draw the line? 👇🏾

Marlon had to call Friday out on this one 👀😂

At what point does CONTENT OVER EVERYTHING become doing TOO MUCH for content? Is Marlon speaking facts or is he reaching?

Y’all know how Toronto gets. 😂

“@the_shotreview said Marlon cleaned up like D-Block vs Dipset.” 😭😭😭

That comparison is INSANE… but if you watched that Verzuz, you know exactly what he means.

Was it really that one-sided? 👀

At what point did the Toronto accent go from a real way people talk… to a full-blown internet character? 😭

Because “2-2’s my dukes, 3-3’s my pops, 4-4’s my word” is CRAZY work 😂

Toronto slang is one thing. Forcing it until it sounds like a parody is something else.

Are we bastardizing the Toronto accent or is this just the new generation of it? 👀
