Healing isn’t just physical—it’s nervous system deep. 🤍 With everything being talked about right now around maternal mental health, it’s a gentle reminder of how much invisible weight moms carry. In the daily chaos of life and motherhood, it’s so easy to reach a point of high stress and negative thinking, and it really starts to affect your health—myself included. I see how our mental and emotional state shows up physically every day. Stress and negative thought patterns trigger a real domino effect on your cortisol, gut health, sleep, and overall energy. And you truly can’t out-supplement a body that’s stuck in fight-or-flight mode. If you’ve been feeling overwhelmed or just worn down lately, take this as your permission slip to pause, take a breath, and give yourself some grace!! You are doing better than you think, and you don’t have to carry it all alone❤️ 😘 . . . . . #maternalhealth #maternalhealthmatters #momhealth #momstress #girlmomlife by @themodernpractitioner
Hair shedding is almost always a messenger telling us something is off on the inside. Before wasting money on quick fixes, these are 3 lab markers to check before buying another serum or growth shampoo ⬇️ •Ferritin (Stored Iron): Your hair follicles need stored iron to stay in the active growth phase. When reserves drop, your body redirects iron to vital organs and sheds non-essentials—like your hair. •Full Thyroid Panel (Free T3 & Free T4): Your thyroid drives cellular energy and hair growth cycles. Balanced T3 and T4 levels are essential to prevent diffuse thinning. •Key Minerals (Zinc & Selenium): Zinc repairs hair tissue and protects follicle integrity, while selenium is required to convert inactive thyroid hormone into active T3. So if you’re dealing with shedding, it always say don’t guess—test 😂 . Finding the root cause is where real restoration starts!! . . Disclaimer: Educational purposes only. My unfiltered thoughts on the beauty treatments I’ve tried at 39. What’s worth your time (and money)! 🤍 ✨ Clear & Brilliant: Love it. I do this quarterly for pigment, aging, and texture. It’s an absolute powerhouse and way friendlier on the wallet than other lasers. ✨ EZ Gel: I consider it natural filler, it uses your own blood (the best, most nutrient-rich parts!) to naturally rebuild tissue and trigger major collagen production—LOVE! ✨ Botox: Reluctantly obsessed. Nothing beats it…I prefer xeomin and use about 20-30 units every 3 months. ✨ X-Therma: Pass, unless you need major tightening and lifting on your face. Most of my patients are about 50+ doing this treatment not always but mostly. ✨ Hydrafacial: Non-negotiable—Pure glow. ✨ Red Light Mask: Totally worth the splurge for daily upkeep. What’s your holy grail treatment right now? Let me know in the comments! . . . #skincareover35 #antiagingtips #skincaretreatments #ezgel botox by @themodernpractitioner
Real talk for a second—I feel like the era of heavy, obvious filler is totally out. If you’ve been here a while, you know I’m all about a more natural, “crunchy” approach to life... and that includes aesthetics 🥰 Lately, I’ve been looking into how to restore volume and get that youthful bounce back without using synthetic fillers. Because I’m an autoimmune girly, I have to be incredibly careful about what I put into my body so I don’t trigger a flare-up. That’s why I tried EZ Gel. Here is a quick sneak peek at how this natural route works: ✨ It uses your own body: EZ Gel taps into your own natural growth factors (PRF) and bio-stimulators to wake your skin up. ✨ It’s building, not just filling: Instead of just inflating the skin, it actually signals your own cells to start producing brand-new, fresh collagen. ✨ The result: It’s 100% you—just a refreshed, smooth, naturally plumped version. I’m already loving how it looks, but the real magic happens around the 3 to 6-month mark! Stay tuned—I’ll keep you updated on my progress toward a little more facial symmetry ✨ . . . .#ezgel #naturalaesthetic #autoimmunewellness #aesthetics #autoimmunewarrior by @themodernpractitioner
I have the best patients, and so many of them share their personal stories with me, which I love hearing. But today was hard. Today, one of them hit home, and I couldn’t help but cry because it was about Lewy Body Dementia. Every day I try to push the word “dementia” out of my mind and forget it isn’t haunting our family daily, but today it found me…. and I couldn’t help but cry in the bathroom at work. I’m just a mom over here trying to navigate it all. Six months into 2026, and I’m just focusing on the little things. This isn’t some massive health overhaul that has changed my life—honestly, I don’t have the time or energy for that? But the little things do start to add up💛 What’s one little thing you’re doing for yourself right now?⬇️ . . . . . #momlife #millennialmom #soberliving #brainhealth #mouthtaping by @themodernpractitioner

Let’s get jumping, people! 🧠🦴 Research shows a powerful “Bone-Brain” connection: Higher bone density in your hips and spine is directly linked to a lower risk of dementia. Playing volleyball most of my life, I always kept block jumps in my workouts. I didn’t realize then that those jumps were a massive investment in my brain health. Even though I’m done with the sport, I still prioritize moves like block jumps. They fall under Vigorous Physical Activity (VPA)—one of the most effective ways to slash your Alzheimer’s risk. Don’t want to do block jumps? Try these: • Jump Rope: High-frequency impact that’s easy to scale. • Burpees: YES, the ultimate love to hate it move! Sources 👇 • Xiao, et al. (2023). Neurology.
