Nahous is a curated cultural space, shaped by intention, care, and respect for the work and people who gather here.

To preserve the atmosphere of the venue, protect the art on view, and ensure a considered experience for all guests, we’ve introduced our House Rules. These guidelines help us maintain the balance between openness and care that defines Nahous.

We’re open Monday–Sunday, 12PM–11PM, and look forward to welcoming you into a space dedicated to art, music, design, gastronomy, and community.

Thank you for being part of the culture we’re building.

I love trying new things and generally experimenting, and I’m so thankful for @uzoamakapower , who is always game to experiment and try things with me.
This is our first micro short, with @iamjidekene , who was generous enough to come make this little thing with us.
Shoutout to @dollykolabalogun for connecting me with @thenahous , who were gracious enough to let us film in their space. And to our little crew - especially our DOP and colorist, @stedi.e - thank you. 🤍
Enjoy our little story.

Nahous didn't exist a year ago. Now, it's tee space everyone in Lagos' creative scene is talking about.
A gallery, concept store, showroom, bar, and conversation space, all in one building.

We got into the history, the philosophy, and founder @rv_windsor 's vision for the space. by @thenahous

Azeez Muritadoh Olakunle is a Lagos-based self-taught contemporary artist whose practice moves fluidly between realism, expressionism, and abstraction. Through symbolic figuration, layered textures, and restrained palettes, his work explores psychological depth, resilience, and the complexities of the human experience.

Central to his practice is the Healing series, marked by luminous purple blindfold-like forms across his figures’ eyes, a recurring motif reflecting vulnerability, endurance, and transformation. Following a pause in his artistic journey due to health and financial challenges, Azeez returned to painting in 2019 with renewed purpose. His work has since been exhibited internationally, including in London, Athens, and Lagos.

Anthony Azekwoh (b. 2000) is a Lagos-based contemporary artist and author whose practice bridges mythology, memory, and imagination.

Originally trained in engineering and first known as an author in his teens, Anthony began painting in 2016, developing a distinct visual language that merges traditional artistic references with digital mediums. Inspired by folklore and the fantastical, his work explores the connection between the past, present, and what is yet to come.

He is Influenced by both past and present masters, Sodiq continues to illuminate stories often left untold through richly layered works held in notable private collections, including the OYASAF Collection.

Thank you to everyone who joined us at the second edition of the Òkan: Living Room Series, with @AnthonyAzekwoh

These series are designed to be more than just a viewing; they are an intimate gathering where the boundaries between artist and collector disappear.

During the course of the night our collectors also had exclusive first access to THE BROTHER’S KEEPER: BLIND DROP featuring mystery prints from our ongoing exhibition, Nigeria History X.

Our second Carté Salon, in collaboration with Nahous,
brought together a room of people willing to sit with a question:

can ambition alone sustain structure?

Through FESTAC ’77, we moved beyond what was built,
and looked closely at what followed,
the systems required to sustain it.

What became clear was not a failure to build,
but a failure to sustain.

Thank you to everyone who was in the room with us. by @thenahous
