👋🏽 So many new friends have joined our little corner of the internet so we wanted to take a moment to share a little more of who we are and what we’re all about.

Since 2012, we have served over 1,300 survivors of trafficking and sexual exploitation in Fort Worth! We do this through a 3-pronged approach including Outreach, Advocacy, and Enrichment.

Survivors of trafficking face significant barriers to rebuilding their lives. We are on a mission to provide an empowering community of support to rally around them as they walk forward in freedom and hope!

All of this is only possible through you, our Net fam, who believes every person is worthy of the chance to rebuild their lives 💜

The landscape of trafficking and exploitation is constantly shifting and changing.

Today, it is estimated that less than 10% of sex trafficking victims are kidnapped, but instead are recruited and groomed by someone they love and trust.

In order to holistically and effectively address this modern injustice, we must have an accurate understanding of the nuances and complexities of the issue.

Together, we can be a safety net and network of support for survivors of trafficking as they walk forward in freedom and hope!

Whether you join The Network with a monthly gift, jump on the frontlines as a volunteer, or attend an educational event like our quarterly men’s breakfast, we all have a role to play 💪🏽

MASE (Men Against Sexual Exploitation) is one of our 3 core anti-trafficking programs.

We know that demand for commercial sex drives the business of sex trafficking. Without sex buyers, there would be no sexual exploitation.

Led by men to reach men, MASE focuses on direct buyer engagement and community education to change the culture around the objectification and purchasing of women and children.

Our vision is to see Fort Worth become a city where men don’t exploit vulnerable people 💪🏽 by @thenetfw

A little glimpse into our Net Staff Retreat last week 💛

The work of anti-trafficking can be emotionally draining and difficult, and we were so grateful to have the opportunity to get away as a team to rest + be refreshed. Over the course of 36 hours we spent time in worship + prayer, had an amazing evening with our Board members, and had a karaoke competition that turned into an all-out dance party. 🕺

It’s a privilege to get to walk alongside survivors as they rebuild their lives and we’re grateful for our incredible team that does this work day in and day out!

We just wrapped up 12 weeks of our "Healthy Relationships and Boundaries" class as part of our Enrichment Program for the survivors we serve.⁠
⁠
For many of the women in our program, it's the first time in their life that they're experiencing healthy relationships and a supportive community through The Net! 🧡⁠

After wrapping up the class, Laura said that she learned that she really matters and that she can set boundaries.⁠
⁠
"Boundaries have always been a struggle for me, but I now sees them as a strength. I am worthy of setting a boundary."⁠
⁠
These classes are so much more than just tools in our ladies' tool belts! They are showing them, day in and day out, that they are worthy of more.⁠
