Mt. Juliet just got its very own independent bookstore... and it already feels like it’s been here for years 📚

Open Shelf just had its soft opening on Lebanon Road, and it’s the only independently owned bookshop in Mount Juliet TN. You’ll find shelves of new and used books, a sweet children’s section, plus candles, bookmarks, totes, and the kind of bookish gifts you’d actually want to receive 🎁

My favorite find? The Blind Date with a Book shelf. Each used book is wrapped in paper with just a few hints about the genre and story, plus a couple of little extras tucked inside. No judging by the cover... you find out what you got when you unwrap it at home 💌

But honestly, the details are what got me. The paint colors, the candles, the little decor touches in every corner... it all feels warm and happy and makes you want to slow way down. There are a few cozy nooks and chairs tucked around the shop, so plan to stay a while ☕

This is exactly the kind of small business that makes a Nashville suburb feel like home. The grand opening is still on the way, so pop in now and say hi 🍂

Spend a rainy day with me (and book husband) checking out @theopenshelfbooks Mt. Juliet’s indie bookstore!
Of course the first stop was @readyteddyscoffee for a caffeine fix.

Megan has done so much work making the bookstore adorable, welcoming and oh so cozy.

The vibes? Amazing
The selection? Amazing
The owner? AMAZING
And when I saw that handmade bat mug? Instant buy.

I can guarantee you’ll catch me camping out on one of the green sofas working on my next book(if she’ll let me 😉)

I’m so incredibly proud and excited for Megan and The Open Shelf. And equally grateful because she’s been a champion and hype girl not only for me and my books but for so many of my amazing friends as well.

A new bookstore is in town!! I’m so excited to announce @theopenshelfbooks opened this weekend in Mt.Juliet. They are on Lebanon rd, right down the road from Green Hill high school. A few weeks ago, we showed you an empty space and Megan’s vision for @theopenshelfbooks . Now the shelves are stocked, the cozy corners are ready, and she just let us know—she’s opening Saturday, October 10!

Inside you’ll find new and used books across a variety of genres, children’s books, blind dates with a book, candles, bookmarks, totes and other fun gifts. She’s starting with a small collection that will grow as the community shops and supports her. 🤎
