2. Travel to book signings in the USA and beyond. I have gone to the UK and Canada just to name two. Highly recommend to do.

3. Fear of crows - can thank Hitchcock for that. 😬

4. Have an aversion to eating peas and beans.

5. Want to enter a shark cage and see Great Whites in natural habitat.

6. I have a fear of public speaking. Sounds crazy since I’m outgoing but it’s true.

7. Have no musical talent to speak of. Can’t play an instrument or sing.

8. Love my Maryland 🦀

9. Dressed up as Dolly Parton for Halloween as a kid.

10. Parents still together. 60 years come September.

My handle The Outgoing Bookworm was started because - well I’m social or was more so at the time.

But this year especially, I just don’t want to be that person all the time. My job unfortunately requires it and it’s been a challenge.

Life has thrown some curveballs in the way of my health and of my parents. More so when my dad got Shingles and I realized I’m by myself in dealing with their problems.

Perimenopause has entered the chat and Ive run the gamut on that in a short couple months. Moodiness, anxiety, stress, and depression. Not to mention aches and pains.

So for now I post but it might not be once a week or it might be every other day. Not all about books. Who knows.

To anyone else struggling - 🫂

Not sure if I could be a 🧜🏼‍♀️

But Labor Day weekend, I traveled to Norfolk, VA for a signing.

Overall enjoyed the event. First time at a Southern Belle Event.

Didn’t enjoy the extra 2 hours it took to get there by @theoutgoingbookworm

Time flies 🫪

6 years ago I started this page. A lot has changed in the book world and the world in general.

Not as active as back then. Job sometimes consumes my life and I’m tired.

Have met a plethora of wonderful women and men on heee and at signings. Book friends are the best.
