GOT MY EYE ON TOFU 💚💜❤️

@cauldronfoods have recently launched some new tofu pieces to make our lives that bit easier, and they kindly sent me some to try (gifted). I mean these are awesome, as well being super tasty and staple in my fridge, as who doesn’t love a low maintenance and tasty meal where your tofu is already prepped and you become an air-fryer queen?

Couple of things I made recently pictured:

MIAMI SPICE @ FAT HIPPO 💥🦛

Last week I kindly got invited (pr invite) to try the new veganuary special from @fathippofood in @lane7_ Manchester.

This was a hefty chick’n burger that’s so flavourful. I mean that glaze is top notch. The @miamifoodsuk burger was crunchy on the outside and not grub at all (which some meat alts unfortunately are sometimes). This was such decent portion and paired with some loaded fries, I was full to the brim.

What I got:
🌱 @miamifoodsuk chick’n burger
🍁 togarashi maple and gochujang bbq glaze
🌱Asian slaw
🍞 toasted bread
🍟 loaded fries with the same bbq sauce, katsu mayo and slaw
🍓 frozen strawberry daiquiri
🍹long Island iced tea

A solid 9/10 from my side 💥 shoutout to &lane for the lush drinks swipe to see ➡️

CHRISTMAS DINS 🎄🎁

Merry Christmas! Hope everyone who celebrates has had a lovely day 🥰

My Christmas dins included;

🌱 no turkey crown from @sainsburys
🥔 roasties in @justspices_uk spices seasoning
🥓 no pigs in blankets from @marksandspencerfood (they got slightly overcooked in the hostess)
🥕 roasted carrots and parsnips in agave glaze
🌱 panfried sprouts with @this.uk bacun lardons
🧀 the BEST cauli cheese I have ever made using @applewood_cheese
🥦 broccoli & boiled sprouts
🧆 stuffing balls and stuffing
🥕 carrot and swede mash
🌱 vegan yorkies (that due to the dishes uses weren’t that deep but still yummy)
🌱 vegan chick’n gravy

This was delicious and we have lots of leftovers for the next couple of days. Which we love to see. Now for the Gavin & Stacey Christmas special! 🎄

VG ‘HONEY’ BUTTER CHICK’N 🍟

Loves! It’s been a busy few months for me but I’m back at it now and still dreaming of these loaded fries using the new @vivera_uk chick’n pieces kindly gifted to me.

I made this lush ‘Honey’ butter sauce using:

🌶️ Sriracha
🧈 Flora plant-based butter
🍯 Agave
🍶 Teeny bit of sesame oil & soy sauce
🌱 Cornflour slurry

Panfried the chickens pieces with onions, added the sauce and cornflour slurry whilst air-frying the chips. Put it all together and topped with spring onions and sesame seeds. This was lusssshhh and the chicken pieces were ace. Who’s tried them?

🌱 VEGAN @ BREWDOG OUTPOST 🍻

Last week @brewdogoutpostmanc kindly invited me in to try all their good stuff and we got to try so much 😍 (adpr invite). If you don’t know, they actually have a whole vegan section on their menu and most of their drinks are vegan - we LOVE to see it 🫶🏻

Food munched on:
🍔 plant powered patriot (@redefinemeat patty, bacun, cheese, pickles & bbq sauce)
🌱 carolina chick’n (@tindlefoods chick’n burger, tomato, onion, mustard bbq sauce)
🌱 buffalo cauli wings (a fan fave of mine)
🍟 dragon fries
🧅 onion rings
🥒 spicy smashed cucumbers
🌱 chipotle slaw
🍰 biscoff cheesecake

Drinkies:
🍸 cosmopolitan
🌸 paloma
🍸gin and tonic

The staff were so lovely and they were playing some epic tunes. The food was yummy, I defs prefer the patriot ‘beef’ burger overall, and all the sides were delicious. And y’all know I LOVE cauliflower wings and these buffalo ones are incredible. You can also choose from seitan wings too. Sides wise, Some of those onions rings were almost the size of my face 😂 Just be prepared that the slaw has a lotta sauce, so I couldn’t each too much of it. The cheesecake was also 🤌🏻

Usually I always have beer at Brewdog this time I was keen to try their cocktails and I was not disappointed! They were all delicious and refreshing 😋 the Paloma being my top of the evening!

Thanks for having us @brewdogoutpostmanc and defs get yourself down, especially knowing they have different dealios on daily!

✨HALF DOZEN OTHER BAKEHOUSE 🥐

A throwback to the end of Jan where I finally got my hands on some glorious vegan bakes from @halfdozenother (by @potkettleblack.uk) more of the vegan pastries we deserve! This was a well needed breakfast pre-moving day, and defs worth the trip to the Green Quarter! 😍😍

We had so much to choose from, and decided on:

🥐 pistachio croissant (lovely green and creamy inside)
🍫 raspberry pain au chocolat (blue and jammy inside)

We paired these with an oat flat whites and genuinely can’t wait to go back and get more. So dreamy!

10/10, would recommend. They had so many options from cookies to cakes too, so defs need to go and try more 😋 what have you tried?

Super behind on some of posts, so here’s a throwback to November last year when I went to Copenhagen for a lil weekend away. I’ve been wanting to go for so long too.

A lovely foodie weekend, even though Denmark isn’t known for being particularly vegan friendly, so I was a very happy vegan. Lots of recommendations came from @vicky_cooks_plants - so thanks so much! 🥰

🚨 VEGAN CREAM TEQUILA 🚨

You know when you just fancy a lil creamy bev, but there’s never really any vegan options. I present to you this lush cream tequila drink 😍 and it’s vegan friendly certified ( we love to see it).

@cremaura_tequila kindly sent me some to try and this came in perfectly as a celebratory drink for when I had finally (after much stress) moved house. I received the orange flavour and it tastes like the middle of an orange cream chocolate (d’ya remember the kind in quality street?!).

I’ve seen some lush recipes to use this on a cocktail, which I can’t wait to try. I opted for over ice and it was delicious! Mind you, I wouldn’t be able to have more than one as it is creamy and rich, but just a lovely drink.

I know they’re in some restaurants across the UK, and I can’t wait to be in one that serves it because I would love to try their coffee and rose flavours 😋 how dreamy does that sound?

VIT UP MY LIFE 💚🌱 (adpr)

For some reason, even though I try to live a well-balanced healthy lifestyle in terms of food I eat and being active, I’ve not always been on the vitamin hype since being vegan. Weird, because when I was veggie I was all over this. I mean, I always look but feel overwhelmed by options 😂 and options out there aren’t always vegan. BUT, it’s important especially as I’m getting older now 👵🏼 (I’m 33 this year, CRAZY!)

@vegums kindly send me a lovely lil package (all biodegradable) to try out their vitamin gummie offerings. Included was:

🌱 iron (blackberry flavour)
🌱 multivitamin (strawberry flavour)
🌱 fish-free omega free (orange)
💼 lovely lil tote bag
🪩 jazzy tins to house these lil teds

I think this is dreamy and tasty way to get in these extra nutrients into my day to day, even as an adult! Random fact I like from my research was the these lil teddies were formulated by pharmacist founders, so they get the science! 🧬 👌🏻

CREAMY SESAME BUTTER BEANS🌱

A throwback to when I first made @rhi.scran’s creamy sesame butter beans. I’m here for beans having a big moment as they are delicious. Rhi nailed a winner combo here of sesame paste and miso, you can find the recipe on her page (they’re all amazing and super easy to follow).

Tasted so lush and paired with some sautéed tenderstem broc and pak choi, and some sourdough 👌🏻

On my list to make again asap as this was divine💚

🌱 VEGAN EATS @ TAMPOPO 🍛

Last weekend @tampopo_uk kindly invited me down (adpr invite) to try the vegan options on their menu, as over 50% of their menu is veggie/vegan, and all their cocktails are vegan - yasssss we love to see it! 💚

We went to the one in the Corn Exchange in MCR and my, oh my, the food was D-E-L-I-C-I-O-U-S 👌🏻 even tastier than the last time I went. And, I so glad there were leftovers for the next day 🙌🏻

What we had:

🍹 thai coconut punch
🫔 vegetable spring rolls with a hoisin peanut sauce
🌽 roasted sweetcorn fritters (sweet & sour glaze)
🌱 sticky tofu (soy, sesame and chilli)
🍛 katsu curry with panko sweet potato and rice
🌱 tamarind tofu, broccoli and jasmine rice
🍜 vegan pad thai
🥬 grilled greens (pak choi, broc with garlic and soy)
🍬 passionfruit mochi

There’s so many more things on the menu, we couldn’t try everything. Everything was lush, but overall faves: fritters, the peanut sauce with the spring rolls was divine, I can’t really pick between the large plates as they were all incredible but the katsu and pad thai take the biscuit.

There’s such an array of options, and pulling from different Asian cuisines, there really is an option for everyone! Portions are great sizes and everything tastes so flavourful. 10/10 would recommend!

FAVE VEGAN PIZZA IN MCR - PUREZZA🍕🐝

Happy veganuary loves! I’ve had such a busy start to the year, so apols for the radio silence. To kick off my veganuary posts I wanted to shine a light (again) on a fave place of mine @purezza.

Honestly the pizza here is D E L I C I O U S! And I have non-vg pals that 1000% agree and always want to go here.

Included in the pictured feast is:

🧀 four cheese pizza (with vg mozz, @honestly.tasty shamembert, honestly tasty blue, feta, @la bac’n and chilli jam)
🍕 pepperoni and agave pizza (also divine)
🌱 slow cooked meatballs
🥔 cheezy potatoes
🧀mac n cheeze (with veg pancetta and hemp Parmesan)
🌱 dips: garlic and chili jam

The four cheeze pizza is my fave pizza EVER…yes, you read that right, EVER! And one of my top 10 fave meals 😍😋

They’re based in the NQ in Manchester but have other locations, so be sure to go give the pizza a try if you haven’t! You won’t regret it!
