• WHEN PEOPLE ASK WHY • 💔

Why do you rehome from Romania? Why do you keep going even though you’re struggling as a charity? Why don’t you just admit defeat and give up?

Quite simply, because of this.

This sweet girl has lived on a chain in Romania her whole life and used as a guard dog.

She’s lived through 8 winters and 8 summers, 8 birthdays, 8 Christmases all on the end of that chain and in that kennel.

Now she is older, underweight, and no longer barking like she used to her owners have no use for her.

Sadly that’s the way it is in Romania, that’s how dogs commonly live and we can’t change that right now.

What we can do is be there to help find her a home when she is ready to travel. We can be there to do that.

BUT we can only be there with your help, and we still need to raise £13,000 in the next few days.

If you can donate anything we really do need your help.

• ALWAYS MEET YOUR HEROES • 🥹🐶🐱🇺🇦🇦🇫

On Saturday I had the absolute pleasure of heading down to @exeterpicturehouse to see a screening of @nowzadrescue film with @peter.j.egan called ‘Unbreakable’ followed by a Q&A with some of the charity team including @penfarthing .

The documentary showcases the work that @nowzadrescue are undertaking in Ukraine, with @peter.j.egan almost getting hit by a drone during the filming which was pretty scary.

The work they are doing is incredible and if you don’t already follow them please make sure you do!

For those that don’t know @penfarthing ‘s story he was behind ‘Operation Ark’ which ultimately saved 67 team members and their family and 117 dogs & cats. One of the Afghan team was in the audience and what she said really did get to me.

Zhara thanked the charity for all they had done for her and her family, for the future they could now have and the safety of her children. Operation Ark was never ‘pets over people’ as the media claimed, it was always about both.

Nowzad are a truly inspiring organisation and we have so much respect and admiration for all that they do, and will always do whatever we can to support @penfarthing and his amazing team.

Make sure you’re following @nowzadrescue to see if they can successfully get the documentary out to the world so that you can see it too! 🧡

• BELMONT DOESN’T WANT TO BE LEFT BEHIND • 🧡🥺🐶

This beautiful boy is one of the three puppies that we rescued recently after they had been born in a yard. Sadly one of them tragically died but three of them survived and now it’s time for them to head to find their homes.

Garrett has been adopted and Ella is currently reserved, but Belmont still needs a forever family of his own. Make sure you swipe to the last slide which is a video of the three of them! 🥹

We think Belmont (ofcourse named after @belmontcameli from @offcampusonprime @ellekennedyauthor) will be a smaller sized adult dog around 12kg when fully grown. He was born on 01/06/26 so is just 4 months old.

He is super friendly and affectionate and has been incredibly fortunate to have been born somewhere relatively safe and has had people look after him and treat him well. He hasn’t lived on the streets or been in a public pound. So we hope this will have helped his development and saved him a lot of trauma.

He is currently at a rescue centre in Bucharest and he will be travelling on our upcoming transport to the UK in 2 weeks time as long as he has a family to join when he arrives.

Please share him far and wide to help as many people see him as possible and help his post be seen more by sending him some love in the comments 😘

If you’re looking to adopt feel free to slide in to our DMs where you’ll get an auto reply with the application form link 🧡

When I heard about Rubix’ situation and had the opportunity to help, I knew I had no choice but to jump on a plane!

Thank you to @perfectfitharness for sending him a lovely new harness. @feednaturaw for providing the treats and our amazing sponsor who funded this trip (but is not on Instagram) by @thepackprojectuk

•PRINCE NEEDS A CASTLE OF HIS OWN 👑🩵😍•

Meet Prince! He was rescued from the streets of Romania and taken in by a kind person. He could have been abandoned or lived on the streets since birth.

He was very lucky to come across the kind person outside her offices. A few weeks of building trust took place before he started following her around on the streets (see the video at the end!) 😍

Prince is estimated to be around 2 years old, he is an independent cat with a strong personality. He enjoys human company, likes being petted, and loves playing, eating and sleeping.

As you can see, he is also very handsome! Prince can be shy to begin with, he needs a home without any other animals. Someone who understands that it could take time for him to fully come out of his shell. We know in the right home he will become a super affectionate boy!

Prince can be indoor only or can have outside access in a safe location. He can travel on our October transport arriving 23 October to the UK.

Do you have a place Prince could call home? 🫶

• WE NEED TO KNOW IF WE HAVE YOUR SUPPORT? • ❤️🥺

We have been asked if we can take in 10 puppies who urgently need find homes here in the UK.

As you probably are aware we normally work remotely with shelters abroad to find dogs homes so we don’t have a rescue centre in the UK.

So we would need to find fosters, and funds, to cover all their vaccines and any other vet costs,

We’ll need to work with fosters to get them properly assessed and then find them the most amazing homes.

This would be a HUGE undertaking for us, both on the number of the litter, but also the financial implications.

So before we agree we would really love to know if you would support us in this mission? Let us know in the comments if you could foster, or if you would donate, or even if you’re looking to adopt and would like to be considered! Head to the comments and let us know ⬇️

• THEY ARE FINALLY SAFE • ☺️🧡🐶

Finally the update we have been wanting to share. Yesterday the 3 puppies that our supporters have been donating to were safely dropped off at the rescue centre that will be caring for them until our next transport to the UK.

After one of the brothers wandered out of the yard they were born in and was killed, we have been on tenterhooks for the safety of the other 3. Yesterday was the soonest they could move to the rescue so we have breathed a sigh of relief!

Two of them are still looking for homes; Ella named after @ellabright and Belmont named after @belmontcameli . They are 4 months old and we think will be smaller sized around 12kg when fully grown.

Please message us for more info, or tag any friends in the commmets who need to see these adorable puppies and might want to adopt them 🧡

• THIS IS NOT JUST A CAT & A DOG PLAYING…• 🥹🧡🐶🐱

This is 6 months worth of kindness, understanding and patience.

When Nellie’s adopter @waltersgraham sent me this video this morning of Nellie and their cat Ziggy I thought back to when she was first adopted back in March this year and I went back to listen to the voice note Hannah sent after their first meeting.

Let’s just say it didn’t well 🥴

If you have seen any interviews with @stephengraham1973 or @waltersgraham you’ll have an idea of the type of people they are, kind, patient, understanding and thoughtful, and very funny. To us they are the perfect adopters.

With the right attitude, a good plan and most importantly time this is the result. Utterly brilliant.

So if you’re going through something challenging with your dog at the moment, please just remember, it will take time.

But with the right attitude, the right mindset and the right support should you need it, you absolutely can help your dog.

Are you experiencing anything that you need help with your dog at the moment? Let us know in the comments ⬇️

• YOU HAVE MADE THIS HAPPEN! • 🧡🐶🥹

As you might have seen we were urgently fundraising to get 4 puppies who were born in a yard in Romania blood tested to be eligible to go in to a rescue centre.

Sadly whilst we were fundraising one of the puppies got out of the yard and was killed by a dog outside.

Honestly it breaks my heart that because we didn’t have the funds to hand one of them died, I feel that responsibility. So we do have something coming up this week to change that for the future.

We urgently appealed for funds as it’s clear they couldn’t safely stay where they were and YOU came through!

Last week they had all their tests and their vaccines and microchips and on Thursday they are going to the rescue centre 🥳

I am so relieved and happy I can’t tell you the weight off my shoulders. But now the task of finding them homes is go to in the UK at the end of October is upon us.

We have named them after @offcampusonprime actors @ellabright and @belmontcameli .

Ella (girl) and Belmont (boy) are both still looking for homes.

Fortunately we had an approved adopter waiting for a puppy and they have chosen Garrett (boy) who @belmontcameli plays in the show.

If you would like more info about them drop us a DM 😉

We will keep you posted on when they get to the rescue centre and how their adoptions are going over the next few weeks.

And to everyone who donated again, thank you, honestly they wouldn’t be getting this chance without you, I hope if you did donate you feel absolutely AMAZING and are super proud of yourselves 😘

•BIBI AND BO NEED A NEW HOME TOGETHER 😍🥰💕•

Meet Bibi and Bo. They are a bonded pair of cats who are in need of a new home together! Bibi was born on the streets of Romania who came across to the U.K. and then met Bo who is a U.K. cat. Both cats are playful, loving, friendly and adaptable and will make someone very lucky!!

Bibi is 3 years old and Bo is 4 years old. Both are such little love bugs, who love to play! Bò's name is Scottish Gaelic for "cow" because he looks like a cow 🐄

Bibi is a curious little queen. She enjoys window watching, but not as much as looking at her own reflection (cant blame her😍). She’s very playful and dabbles in a little parkour! She greets you by weaving in and around your legs and will softly purr away while snuggling up in your arms or on your chest.

Bo is a talkative fellow who looks you right in the eye while he chats away. He makes some of the funniest little noises. He is a total love bug who dribbles for tickles. He climbs all over you and nuzzles your ears and your nose, pressing his face onto yours in the sweetest way.

They can be indoor only or have outside access in a safe location. Due to already being in the UK, the adoption fee for the pair is £200.

Could you offer Bibi & Bo a home? ✨

•SAY HI TO SKYE 💎😍✨•

This is the very beautiful Skye. She was being cared for by a kind lady, who was unfortunately reported for caring for too many cats. So now Skye is at the shelter, waiting to be chosen and given her forever home.

Skye is estimated to be around 4 years old. She is an absolute sweetheart, the team have said she is like a princess. She loves human attention and affection, she enjoys cuddles and being picked up.

She is cat friendly, but also likes having independent time, so she could also be an only cat. She can be dog tested and is child friendly.

Skye can be indoor only or can have access outside in a safe location.

Do you have a home to offer Skye? 🥰

•PLEASE CAN SOMEONE TELL US WHY BODHI HASN’T BEEN PICKED YET? 😭🤯😩•

Bodhi has spent the last 9 months in the shelter after being rescued in a big group of cats after his owners divorced. He has grown up in the shelter and we really think he deserves a family of his own. He has watched all his siblings and friends leave the shelter 💔

Bodhi is now estimated to be 1 year old. He is a very handsome boy who loves to play, is curious and sociable with cats and humans! He is a total sweetheart, who would soon become a little cuddle bug with you.

Bodhi can be an only cat (with lots of toys!) or can live with an existing cat in the home. He can be dog tested upon receiving an application and is child friendly. He needs to be indoor only.

Could you be Bodhi’s forever family? 💙
