One of the shots that I was really hoping to get at Seal River Lodge was a face on portrait. I think shots like this really connect you to the animal.
Being able to photograph Polar Bears from ground level really gives you the opportunity to see things from their level.
This male loved to hang around the lodge and made a great subject.
A huge thanks to our guides @boomerjerritt, Jess and Dave at @churchillwildsafaris who not only made sure we were safe but got us into positions where we could capture some amazing shots. Without great guides your chances of incredible encounters diminish significantly.

It’s a Bear in a Tree!

Imagine our surprise when we pulled around the corner and saw this guy just taking it all in while it was pouring rain.
He didn’t seem to have a care in the world.
I thought it was so cute the way his paws were crossed in front of him like he was settling in for a good movie.

We went to Sudbury, Ontario, on a mission to see what lies beyond the Big Nickel, and what we found blew us away.

It’s the only city in Canada where NASA trained astronauts for the moon, and that’s just the beginning of the surprises!

Over 4 incredible days, we discovered a city bursting with fantastic street art, a great food scene (hello, secret speakeasy!), and epic outdoor adventures. Sudbury is a city that has totally reinvented itself, and we are so impressed.

Spending time with the Grey Wolves of Northern Ontario.

There is something special about witnessing these beautiful yet misunderstood animals especially in the winter.
I was drawn to this male as I loved his eyes and colouring. As I was photographing him the snow started to fall, adding another beautiful element to the shots.
