Days like this happen because you all show up, whether it is your first time at Putney or you've been to more Harvest Festivals than you can count. You bring your joyful smiles, homegrown eats, spirited music, sense of community, handmade art, and Putney pride, which make for an unforgettable day.

Thank you to all the folks who helped put on this year’s event and thanks to all of you who spent the day with us. If you couldn't make it, we hope you can join in the fun next year! by @theputneyschool

When families visit us during Family Weekend, we want them to experience a day-in-the-life at Putney and feel embraced by the Putney community. Families are invited to attend classes, participate alongside students in our afternoon activities (Cidermaking, anyone?), dine in the KDU, and experience a rousing student musical theater cabaret in Barnes Assembly Hall.

We've also prepare some special programs for our visitors including a barn visit with the Farm Program Director, a gathering for families of students of color, a talk by our Interim Director of DEIB entitled "Turning the Kaleidoscope: Reimagining Belonging at Putney", and Harvest Festival, of course!

Yet, so much joy resides in the free moments between items on the schedule. If you walk around campus, you'll find new friends connecting at the picnic tables, students sharing their favorite pets with others, and families walking and laughing down the paths on a blustery fall day. It's a bit magical to share this side of Putney with others, as well. by @theputneyschool

Putney Rowing traveled to Lowell, MA on Oct 4 to compete in the Textile River Regatta. It was a great day of competitive racing with many team highlights:

🥉 Head Coach Mwanga brought home a bronze medal in the Men’s Masters Single.
🙌 Francie had one of her best races yet!
🥈 Alora and Ocea earned silver in the Women’s Junior Double.
🎉 James and Patrick both put in strong races in the Men’s Junior Single.
👏 Ezra and Scout raced a double together for the very first time, finishing with an excellent time.
🤩 Several rowers competing in their first race with the team! Edie and Sadie did a fantastic job in their double, while Adriel and Amanuel showed some serious grit and determination all the way to the finish line.
🥉 Leander and Felix capped off their race with a bronze medal finish!

The Rowing Team will head to Saratoga Springs, NY, on October 24-25 for the Head of the Fish to finish out their fall season! by @theputneyschool

Through the generosity of 4 alumni, your gift to The Putney School's Annual Fund will be doubled until the close of Harvest Festival at midnight on October 11. The upper limit for this generous dollar-for-dollar match is $65,000! Let's see if we can max out that aspirational goal.

Your gift to the Annual Fund supports every aspect of the Putney program—enriching the experience for all students, providing financial aid, and supporting our talented faculty. Make your gift online now via the link in our bio. by @theputneyschool
