Late post... Many people probably don't know but I tore my Achilles in February. It felt pretty devastating, mostly because I wasn't sure what it meant for my overall wellness. I had lots of tears and doubts, but luckily I was able to join my team @thechicagoblaze for @gaybowltwincities. There aren't many places I'd rather be than on the field with my friends! Love always! #FreeFeetPics 🤮 by @theradeducator

When you put something into words you limit it, so bear with me as I attempt to honor and celebrate my sister who turns 40 today.

Nia, you are the inspiration that gives life and joy meaning for so many.

It's rare to meet someone who embodies persistence, intelligence, strength, beauty, and compassion -- let alone be raised by them.

I continue to be in awe of the love you cultivate in the world, your friendships, and your beautiful family.

I'm so proud of you and our relationship. Our love for each other is my proudest accomplishment!

Here's to you -- to the life you've lived and the road that lies ahead. Here's to our bond, to the words we never have to speak -- yet somehow always do.

I love you mucho mucho my dear! May your days ahead splendor to your delight!

Six Years, A Lifetime of Memories. #chicago , you’ve been my home for the past six years—a city of skyscrapers, deep-dish pizza, endless winters, and unforgettable moments. But beyond the iconic skyline and hustle of the streets, it’s the people who made this city feel like home.

To my family—who became my anchors in this windy city—thank you for being my safe haven when the days were long and the nights were even longer. I’ll miss our weekend gatherings and spontaneous hangouts, but the bond we’ve built will never fade.

To my friends—who became my family here. We’ve weathered the storms (literally and figuratively), celebrated milestones, and made memories I’ll carry forever. Leaving you all feels like leaving a piece of my heart behind, but I know the bonds we’ve formed will stretch far beyond these city limits.

Chicago, thank you for shaping me into the person I am today. I’m taking with me six years of love, laughter, and lessons, and I’ll always look back on this time with nothing but gratitude.

Keep inviting me and come visit me! Love always! ❤️ by @theradeducator

#TBT Now that my summer is officially over here's a little recappy-cap. This was a summer of letting go and goodbyes, both easier said than done. I'm forever grateful for the time we got to spend together. Goodbye #SummertimeChi, I'll be back 😘. by @theradeducator

For this #TBT y'all please help me congratulate my first Senior Research Project advisee on her graduation from @lakeforestcollege 🎉

The amazing and resilient Katie Fagan completed her bachelor of arts degree in Non-Profit Development and Diversity Studies. Her studies culminated in a project that I got to assist her on, "Embracing Justice, Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging: A Comprehensive Training Manual for Non-Profit Organizations and Beyond".

Katie, I am so incredibly proud of your growth and triumph through this whole process! Thank you for trusting me as your advisor during this journey and congratulations! We outchea stuntin on em! by @theradeducator

#TBT Not only did I have the honor of attending my first National Association of Diversity Officers in Higher Education Conference, @nadohe_org but I was also a presenter! I had many feelings entering that space as a "newbie" to the organization, but when I tell you... the surprise, joy, and relief I felt when I saw the familiar face of one of my mentors, @dr.s.kentbutler ... Phew! 😅 And if you know me, you know I don't use that term lightly. Look out for more to come about my experience at #NADOHE2024. And for those who are curious... yes we still cutting up! 💯

Music and me had a blast this year!!!! Join me for my last concert of the year, the #ScarletTour 😜. I got to go to a lot of great shows in 2023 and this was a great way to end a long, transformational semester and year. by @theradeducator

Name a better sister-brother duo when it comes to this academia-ish. Another professional achievement unlocked. #AntiRacism #RaceEquity #SocialJustice #Fam by @theradeducator
